Mindfully Sparking Joy by Owning Your Space!
The concept of dopamine decorating is new to me, and wow was this book a great intro! I love the idea of purposefully and mindfully considering your designs and decor to stimulate dopamine release in your brain. This book is essentially a life-hack for creating a sense of peace and joy in your home! While there are no pictures included, the author explains how to find your own color palettes based on your own memories and what triggers the happiness hormone for you personally, and provides scientific backing for WHY our brains work the way that they do. This is a great book for those looking to take charge of their own happiness and take practical steps in their life to do so! Plus it's just plain fun. :)

As someone who has always loved decorating and designing spaces, I'm quite picky when it comes to interior design books. That's why I was so pleasantly surprised by The Interior Design Book for a Happy Home - it exceeded all my hopes! The author's writing voice is so warm and uplifting. She made design feel fun again rather than stuffy and strict. I found myself thrilled to reimagine each room with her guidance.I adored how this book encouraged personalized design based on your cherished memories and favorite things. The suggestions for thoughtfully displaying sentimental objects had me excited to rework my entire bookcase! What makes this guide truly special is how it ties in psychology and color theory to ensure your décor choices boost your mood. I'd never have thought to choose paint colors that elicit certain emotions, but I'm so glad I know that now. From the abundance of memorabilia display tips to the organization hacks, each chapter left me jotting down notes and itching to get started transforming my home. The author made the process feel celebratory instead of stressful. For anyone seeking design wisdom that uplifts your spirit, choose this book! Home Design From the Heart
The Interior Design Book For A Happy Home is not your mother’s book of home design. Part basic design, part pop psychology and part meditative affirmation, an oddly constructed subtitle labels the book as Dopamine Design, which actually works very well in conveying the outlook and layout of this book. The advice given in the book is broad, but interesting and sometimes even thought-provoking. So what is Dopamine design, anyway? According to the author, it is “an interior design approach focused entirely on surrounding yourself with furniture, art, textiles, colors, and treasured keepsakes that spark joy deep within your soul. Unlike fleeting trends that come and go, dopamine decor is forever. Why? Because it’s inherently based on you – your distinctive style, favorite aesthetics, and the nostalgic pieces that never fail to make you smile.”So not exactly Bauhaus, still there is a joyous meditative quality to the book. Never mind what everyone else is doing: search inside yourself for both questions and answers to your design dilemmas.Don’t expect pictures or diagrams, dopamine design depends more on input from your heart. Readers who are on a journey of personal growth will find this one interesting.

Dopamine Decor - A New Way
I learned a new design style - dopamine decor, a curated design of your personal favorites. It says it's the opposite of minimalism. The color chart was helpful. The only thing I wished it had was photos. Visuals are important to me especially when it's the topic of design, but that's just me. Overall, the information was well put together and a pleasure to read.

Presents an Enduring and Comfortable Look
This is a well-written book that brings together many of the design fundamentals of Dopamine décor, affording a broader view than my one-piece-at-a-time hodgepodge approach. I appreciated the author’s online access to excellent visuals demonstrating the cheerful and casual principles explained in the book. If you are looking for an enduring positive style, this is a book that offers good ideas and possibilities.

Original designs
This design book is very nice. This is the kind of book that those who love designing will give anything to have. The writing is without fluff and it’s easy to follow along. The writer also made sure that no design jargon will stall anyone trying to get the techniques and implement right away. I truly love the way Sofia presented her color theory and how she ties it with your temperament. This a book for both the professional and amateur alike. For transparence, I got the ARC of this book.

Disappointed
The design book hasn’t one photo in it. The book isn’t hard back and it does look cheap. I bought this as a Christmas present which I don’t want to give as a gift. To be fair I’ve not read any of it but I assumed as it was a home design book there would be photos of designs they describe.
