Great for those who hate when companies change everything
If you're one of those people who always curse Apple or Microsoft for always 'making random unnecessary changes' that make the products you already have harder to use, then this product is perfect for you. I hate that the new iPHone for example got rid of the headphone jack, or new laptops don't have charging ports for the older devices that still work fine. This fixes that problem, but giving you the right USB ports that you need to charge/transfer stuff to your older Apple stuff... That still works great.

I'll leave my orignal review intact: "Much cheaper than buying a bunch of separate, corded USB-C dongles. What I don't like about it is it turns a 13 inch laptop into a 15 inch laptop, and since it attaches with just the 2 USB ports on the side, and is flat and solid, I worry about it getting damaged, or even worse, damaging the only 2 USB-C ports on the side of the MacBook Pro." My concerns/ worries about this product were validated.

Easy to use
I brought this for my new MacBook Pro and I’m 100% satisfied with it. Its small but has a solid build and is simple to use. The only issue with it is that it can’t be connected when I have my case on but I can deal with that

Defect product
This product isn’t working anymore and I’m upset! It will not securely stay in the laptop I purchased. Initially it was fine but again yiu have to wiggle it to show the power is on. Would like a refund or a better quality one sent to me as soon as possible. I use this for my photography business.

Gives me the old ports I need and a few new ones
Mainly use this for connecting my ssd drive. I also use sd cards and flash drives with it and it works well. I don’t have any problems with the connection and it sits flush with the MacBook. Since it is so small, I generally just keep it connected to my MacBook at all times.

Works well on 2017 13" macbook pro
This adapter securely connects to my macbook by using the 2 thunderbolt ports on the side. I haven't had any issues with disconnects while transferring my files. It is solidly built using metal not cheap plastic and matches the color of my macbook

A Must if you need to connect older equipment to your Mac
If you buy a new macbook one of these usb adapters is a must. Apple removed all other types of ports except the new usb c ports. So if you're looking to connect older equipment that uses the older usb ports this is a simple solution and definitely comes in handy
