Beautiful Teacup Set, But One Concern
This is a very small (but perfect size for me) teacup. The kitty and floral design is adorable. I'm a bit wary, however, of drinking from this cup because the gold paint along the rim of the cup is not glazed. It has a dull, brushed texture and looks like it can flake off with repeated use. All of my other teacups with gold rims have a glaze over the gold paint. I took a photo to show the texture (don't mind my 9 lb. cat sticking her paw in the cup). It's a shame because I really like this teacup and saucer set. But I guess I'll just use it for decorative purposes instead of drinking.
