Lewis and Clark Discoveries Board Game

This game is easy to teach, not too long, beautiful to look at, balanced, theme comes through and great price. Great for if you want a game heavier than the really simple/abstract games but don't want to invest as much time and energy as a proper mid-weight game so it's getting played a lot in my group everyone loves it.

I have been getting in the habit of playing board games more often, probably since I discovered Dominion. I am a history buff, and live in an area that Lewis and Clark traveled through. I find this to be a fun game. It takes awhile (like a good game-play, or maybe 2 games played) to learn the ins, outs, and hows to play this. But once learned, it is a VERY fun game.My wife doesn't really care for it, because it's really involved. But if you're a game-player, you'll like it.I don't play LOTS AND LOTS of board games, but this game is unique for me, in that it utilizes dice (with pictures, not dots or numbers), and includes many different factors to bring about the completion of the game...whether it be "activating" actions with dice, or getting special rules through help-cards (called tribal cards) in this game.I would encourage potential buyers to check out a review on Youtube (such as gameboygeek) and then make the decision.
