IRWINRecord T5D Pt.D Jaws 5in and Screws for 5 Vice

Well made, perfect fit for my old Record Vice .

Have fitted these to my 65+ year old Record 5 vice and they have transformed this wonderful old bit of kit. The vice was over 20 years old and well used when i got it as an apprentice fabricator so the old jaws were probably the originals but certainly not changed in my 42 years of ownership.The vice now grips up with much less handle pressure for any given job. The old jaws were working but only if i really cranked the handle up very tightly. That of course is not ideal for all job's when you can't use clip on soft jaws.Very happy with these precision made jaws as they have made the vice much more versatile. It will probably outlast me now so money well spent.

I was fortunate enough to be given an old (50+ years old) "Record" no.3 vice. It was in a good and usable condition, but had seen lots of action from it's previous owner. I stripped it down, cleaned it then re-painted it to keep rust at bay. Most of the parts were in great condition except for the jaws themselves.After searching the internet, I finally decided on these. I was initially concerned wether they would fit such an old vice, but did so perfectly. No banging/hammering or re-boring the holes. Jaws just screwed in like they belonged. They have added the last finishing touch on my vice, and have helped it to function as it should.

These fitted straight onto a 50 year old record number 6 vice no problem. The serrations aren't like the originals but they work well, hence 4 stars.

Was only a little surprised that this new set fits and old Record No 3 vice. Was very pleased that it did. Even the screws were the right thread.

They are not as thick they are the same length and the holes are in the right place but the screws are too small for the thread I have the vice I have is old maybe for a new type

Great price compared to some online retailers. Fitted my 40 year old Record 4" No.3 vice perfectly. The only complaint that I have is that the edges are sharp, like razor blades, so you have to watch your hands on them. I ended up stoning the edges to make them safe.

This product was exactly what I needed and works well. Canada Post lost the first package, so the company sent me another set. When Canada Post delivered both packages on the same day, the company said to keep both and only charged for one. What good public relations! Definitely order from them.
