to get an in depth review of this mykesonic record player. He is spot on. We bought this as an entry level record player for my daughter's dorm room and we are so glad we got this instead of the cheap suitcase record players that are popular on campus. Understand what you are buying. This is not for audiophiles. The horizontal version was $110 with a coupon and is a great value. you get a good audio technica cartridge that is factory set at 3.5 grams that won't damage records. The sound is ok through the built in speakers and very good if you connect it to a good blue tooth speaker. The controls are very well thought out. when you turn it off. it will automatically lift the tone arm and return it to the rest. the dust cover has air holes to make it less prone to resonance, if you keep it closed. it's very small and fits on a $10 ikea "lack" table. My only nit is that i wish it had a latch to secure the tonearm when transporting it. We just used a twist tie. An optional carrying case would be nice, too.

Love love love this record player
I’ve had this record player for a year now, great speaker quality, I’ve never heard it skip, and it’s a pretty color and fits in very nicely to the rest of our home decor

Great beginner turntable, be cautious of needle missing groove on start up
I bought this thanks to a review done by VWestlife on YouTube. Its a really good beginner turntable and has helped me get into vinyl after years of being a staunch CD collector. It runs and sounds great, especially if you can supply your own external speakers (since the built in one is tinny but works well for those who don't mind the limitations of the built-in speakers). Set up was relatively simple too, though I suggest buying a felt pad to rest on the platter since it doesn't come with one. While all of those can be easily resolved with some extra purchases, I am somewhat disappointed that while the turntable is automatic, it has a hard time catching onto the beginning groove, largely missing the disc easily, though I would rather blame myself for possibly messing the alignment while servicing the device to correct the speed of the drive. It's a hit or miss in that regard. Overall, excellent machine for those who wish to start their vinyl journey while being aware of the poor quality and life span of other machines in this price range.

Great mix of the old and the new
Been using it for about a month reviving my dads old vinyl records he got decades ago in multiple trips he made, its been pretty crazy, the included speaker sounds good but its even better if you output the sound to an external speaker, the stylus can be replaced but the one it has is great already. Absolutely no issues so far.

For the price - magic
I paid just over $100 for this, and what an absolute bargain. It has features that most record players costing almost ten times as much don't have.Last year I bought a Pro-Ject Automat for hundreds of dollars, and very quickly returned it. Awful wow-and-flutter, terrible scraping noises from the mechanism. What a waste. But this is perfect! Decent quality stylus, accurate rotation speed, tonearm is pre-adjusted, good quality audio from the line-out jacks, and it's fully automatic! The built-in speakers aren't as good as any amplified speakers you could plug into the back, but they're certainly not bad. They're loud, and isolated from the turntable, so you don't get any weird rumble. They're a bit lacking in bass, but that's all.It would be nice if it came with a mat, but for $100, it's very difficult to complain. Highly recommended.

Great turntable for the money.
The first one I received the tonearm would get stuck on the last track on the albums.Reached out to company for a return and they shipped me a new unit. This second unit work perfectly... no issues so far.

Good for beginners, not for enthusiasts
First off, our records sounded terrible on it. The half platter doesn’t support the full record, and any sort or warp-age in the record will be multiplied with this record player. Even brand new sealed records sounded really bad. The design of the product is nice, relatively minimalist, and it sounds pretty good. Lacks bass but that will happen with a smallish speaker. I personally would skip this and buy a good one from audio-technica. There are too many design flaws that I thought would be engineered out, but it turns out they are just impossible to avoid without a full platter. I returned out and bought the Audio-Technica AT- LP60XBT. Much better over all product. I recommend shelling out the cash

Nice Beginner Record Player
I bought this on sale after watching a review on Youtube. I was impressed with the features for the price point. That price point being when there is a sale. I wouldn't pay anymore than $120 to be honest. That being said here are some pros and cons that I found with this.I will start with the pros. First of all, as I said, this is a great BEGINNER turntable. It is plug and play. No set up needed. It is fully automatic. For someone new to vinyl this is a great feature. Even some audiophiles (I know not all of them) have no problem with a fully automatic table. If you want to use it semi-automatically, you can. It will still return the tone arm at the end of the record. It has a moving magnet cartridge where the tone arm appears to be correctly balaced for proper pressure of the stylus. The tracking is good. So I don't feel like this is a record eater. While the speaker isn't the best, it is something. I like that you can also bluetooth out or hard wire it via line out. No phono preamp needed.Cons: The speaker isn't great. But it isn't a game changer. The tone arm motor is noisy. The platter is small which does amply a warp in a record. I found that placing an acrylic mat helps with this.
