This is a great addition to the house. Sturdy and not too hard to assemble. If you have more than two people in the house, or if you have more than four pair of shoes, this is not the best shoe rack for you. I wish it has three shelves instead of two, then again, it will be too tall to sit and change shoes. Perfect length and width, but space is limited!

Arrived on time. Easy to assemble. It's sturdy. Use it in my mud room for shoes . Does a great job and looks nice. The lid doesn't stay up by itself but for me that's nor a problem.

A very IKEA-like build. Easy to assemble, total time about 20 minutes. It is big enough to hold five sets of shoes, my work boots plus hats and gloves in the storage under the seat. We were in need of something, this seems to have satisfied that need. A nice, sturdy, solid piece.

Very study, husband weighs over 220lbs and he feels comfortable on it. Only con I have is one of the hinges broke easy while assembly. Assembly was easy and it's heavy. Anti skid grips work well! I will be keeping it. If a con comes up. I'll update post.

It was generally easy to put together, the hinges gave me the most difficulty. The particle board isn't forgiving(partial reason for the 4 star). Shown are how many shoes that fit on here. It was smaller than i expected which is on me for not reading the size. The top is heavy and the hinges don't hold it up very well. If you have little kids think of their fingers as my youngest found out the hard way(other reason for the 4star). Instructions were easy to follow, the packaging was not damaged and all pieces were there. Came with extra incase an extra screw was needed. Overrall i would recommend just note the size if you are expecting bigger

After reading reviews where people had trouble putting this together, I ordered it anyhow as it suited our needs better than any others that were available. Realizing there could be issues with assembly I was forewarned by these reviews and prepared to adapt.Turned out, from the time it was delivered (a day early) ‘til I put it in the entrance all completed, it was under 2 hours including cleaning up the packaging and tools.The instructions are precise, the predrilled holes exact, and all hardware included as well as a “spare” one of everything.What might have got others to go off, is there is a picture of an electric drill on the tools required list. The pressboard and plastic screw inserts are too fragile for a drill. A hand screwdriver is enough to do the job without damaging anything and hand tightening seems best.The bench is sturdy, (not real wood but looks presentable).The 4 stars is only because of this. No surprise. The bench is too reasonably priced to be solid wood.
