Metal Responsive Yoyo V6, Dual Purpose Kids & Pro Stunt Yoyo, Unresponsive Bearing Kit + 12 Strings + Case

This was bought (along with a similar one) as a stocking filler for my children. I imagined a use-once-shove-it-in-a-drawer type situation by Boxing Day. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised with what we got and how engaged they were.As background, i my youth there was a craze for Coca Cola spinner yo-yos. I can’t remember how you got them, but EVERYONE had one. These were the first spinning yo-yos I had ever come across. Everything previously had been a terrible plastic toy. These spinners were the future.Fast forward to Xmas 2023 and we’re living in the future. In the package we got:- A nice metal yo-yo- A loads of spare strings in lots of colours- Replacement bearings- Instructions- A nice carry caseI was pleased to find I had accidentally bought a responsive yo-yo, meaning it comes back with a jerk of the string. I also got an unresponsive one that spins forever and needs a special trick to get it back to the top. The kids have had great fun with these, and a bit of time on YouTube has seen them trying to learn some basic tricks.The replacement parts and the nicely finished metal construction means this thing will last long into their adulthood so they won’t have to reminisce about the 90s in an Amazon review.

To preface, I do not know how to play a yoyo beyond the very basic for children so was pretty excited for this. The yoyo is black and nice material, good weight, feels good in hand. It comes with a nice zip bag to protect the yoyo, and strings of various colours. It also includes some paper instructions, but I find it a bit hard to follow. I tried it but have not managed to get it to work within first 15 minutes, maybe being an absolute novice it is expected. This is a busy period for me so I haven't been able to spend more time, but it looks promising, though I hoped for more hand-holding and instructions for newbies.

This is a terrific little yo-yo! Very well crafted and perfectly balanced, it is ideal for anyone interested in learning the skills or for verterans to upgrade their equipment to take their abilities tot he next level. Great price too!

I find it nice to chill out and play with a yo-yo for a few minutes each day. And this brand is both great quality while offering a lot of variety.

This yo-yo looks the business with its sort-of brushed metallic purple and orange finish, and it is very nicely packaged. You get a protective carry case, lots (12) of spare, very brightly-coloured strings (two of each colour), the instructions, a U type bearing, 1 long axle 12mm for unresponsive mode, 1 bearing remover, and 1 axle tool.Confusingly, the product description says that it is 'easy to start' 'entry level' 'beginner to advanced' etc. but then goes on to say that it is entry level for 'Intermediate and Advance players,' which seems a but contrary. In my opinion you would need to be pretty adept at using a yo-yo to get anything like the best from this one and I don't feel that it is especially beginner friendly. The instructions don't help all that much as they are not the clearest and the diagrams are a bit small.It is a quality item though and the metal body and carry case, the tools, extra parts etc. all point towards it being a top end yo-yo. If you have the skills or can, as they suggest, invest the time learning them on Youtube then you will probably get more play value out of this than we currently are, as after all it is not cheap.I had initially thought, given the product description that this might be suitable for my 11 year old son, but thus far he prefers and gets on much better with his similar looking plastic yo-yo, which was a prize from a seaside amusement arcade! Maybe in time and/or with a little video watching he can get to grips with it, but at the moment he is finding it frustrating and I never had the yo-yo skills to be of much assistance to him.Overall it is a nice product, well made, looks great, nicely packaged etc. but I feel it is best left to the experts not least because of the premium price. I will o course update the review if in time everything clicks into place and this becomes his no.1 yo-yo.

I'm not sure if this is the best for beginners but it is definitely going to be fun when we master it (Or my child master’s it!).We love the case that it comes in along with spare parts. I must be getting old as I do not remember Yo-Yos having ball bearings in them! and this has an extra set in the case if you bounce it too much on the floor when "Walking the Dog" you can fix it up in 5 minutes.A well-made and beautiful item.5+++++

its small (at least smaller than the other metal yoyos of this style i have) it does have a tendency to wobble more often than those others (i expect the smallness is the reason for this) the bearing is super smooth and silent. the responsive bearing works perfectly.its size does go towards it being more kid friendly but it also makes it harder to get a long spin from it

Come yoyo è robusto e allo stesso tempo leggero. Materiale buono, non male. È divertente da utilizzare.

A mio figlio sono piaciuti i colori e la possibilità di fare tricks, è però preoccupato per i segni che possono venire se viene colpito o cade. Ma è un ottimo gioco da portare in giro per allontanare la noia in un attimo, facilmente e perché no, fare anche colpo sugli amici quando i tricks riescono bene.
