Possibly the best knife for the money Ive ever seen.
**Update** I have recently gotten a hardness tester and was able to test this knife's steel hhardness. It came in at 58.8 HRC which is a lower heat treat for CPM s35vn steel but still within its steel range (58-61). I never did test the other model that I gave to my friend, I suspect it would come in higher.I had pre previously purchased the original black handled model and it turned out to be a very capable knife, especially for the money. So when these went on sale for under 30 dollars I purchased the "Blue" model which is the longer thin styled model........ This model is even better. I own literally HUNDREDS of folding knives, some worth 300-500 dollars and I can say that I think this is the single best value I have ever seen for what you get. The " blue" model is absolutely a 100 dollar knife for half the price when not on sale.1. It is a liner lock and the lock up is absolutely PERFECT. The liner snugs under the blade at 100%. (See pictures) This is pretty much unheard of among liner locks, and is one of the reasons I stay away from them.2. Due to this strong liner lock the detent holds the blade closed very well, this means that even though the pocket clip is not interchangeable that it's still very safe for left handed carry.3. The G10 scales are very good quality and have the perfect amount of grippy-ness, and the lanyard hole is big enough to take just about any material. (See pics)4. The blade: this blade came sharp enough to shave hair from my arm out of the box, it has a rather evenly done stone washed finish, it's 3.75 inches long so it is a great size for EDC...... and as I found out through previous testing of this knife's sister model, it seems to be very well heat treated ACTUAL S35VN steel (see pics,) At this price that alone makes this knife and amazing buy.5. It has a very robust build with super strong steel liners and dense G10 scales, this does make these knives kinda heavy for their size but in the case of the long thin blue model it's negligible due to its slender design.6. The pocket clip has a lot of strength and combined with the pattern on the G10 scales it stays tightly put in your pocket (some people don't like a strong grippy clip but I do)The only con I can come up with is that due to the strong detent, the front flipper can be a challenge to open the knife with easily, so it will take an hour of fidget practice to get good at opening this knife with one stroke of the thumb. The " reach around" opening style is not really possible so expect only the thumb flick to be the wayFinal thoughts:At 50 bucks it's a great deal, one of the best I've ever seen. On sale and at 25 bucks like I just paid? Probably the best knife deal I have ever gotten.Buy one

Is the blade realy S235VN?I
I was impressed with the knife out of the box. It is a little bit heavy for edc but I knew that when I bought it. The fit and finnish appears to be done well. Tha action is smooth and works well for the heft and length of the blade. Ok, here us the question. Is tge blade realy made from CPM S236VN steel? The knife I receive had the kaser mark S35V on the right side of the blade and no logo as qas shown in the photos in the Amazon presentation. If the blade is made from CPM S230V and not S235VN and was mislabeled in error then a correction shoul be made in the description. Don't get me wrong. Both are premium steel and I have no complaint at the price that I paid. The knife has performed well so far but, what did I buy?

over all solid Knife with a few nit picks
a purchace point for me was "CPM-S35VN" i have made Ulu knives with this steel and it is Amazing."CPM-S35VN" V for Vanadium N for niobium which as I understand it makes it a little less brittle and easier to sharpen for the average person with sharpening stones.a quote from an online source Koi Knives:By substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides, CPM S35VN is around 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. The improved toughness of this steel also gives it better resistance to edge chipping.as mentioned in a few reviews the Blade is marked S35V, not S35VN .this is Confusing and resulted in my 4 star as opposed to 5 rating.Other than that, it is substantial, operates smoothly, the clip is solid, I always end up bending those on other knives and have to remove them. I do wish I could move the clip to the other side of the knife so the clip as a right hander is not in my palm .the only other gripe is the recessed part of the Micarta scale for the screws that hold it together have sharp edges that could cause irritation to the hand.... I plan to take a needle file to smooth or radius them.the bottom line is this...it is a great deal at the price point, no regrets, i do want to know exactly what steel it really is... and the rest is pure pickiness on my part, that can be remedied with a little elbow grease.***********************************************FOLLOW UPoverall the knife made me happy the sharp edged of the handle smoothed out over timethe hex screw that is at the hinge did get loose so i had to purchace the correct size torx tip and tightened it up and added a little lube (Gun Butter). was back in proper function.i took with me to the Philippines and nephew used it trimming the coconut tree and it preformed flawlessly ... so i gave it to him, now I am buying a new one.also i cant ezpress how happy i am with the clip that holds on to your pocket.... it has now been damaged or twisted at all. a huge plus for me, along with the steel cpms35vnmy original was marked without the N and that left me doubting...but i read now it is corrected so If it is so the real steel deal it is a bargain.repeat customerI have changed my rating to 5 *****

Love the knife, hate the build quality.
UPDATEI bought a torx wrench tool, and it works perfectly too tighten the blade. I don't like that it needs to be tightened often, but it's worth it for this knife, in my opinion.ORIGINALI bought this knife because it is a great deal for a great type of steel, on the blade shape and geometry that I want. I returned/replaced it because the blade came loose, and even with the included mini wrench, I could not keep it tight. The replacement didn't even last 10 minutes before the blade came loose, and all I did was open and close a few times and cut some paper. It's not worth working on for me, since the previous one I did work on and it would not tighten. I love the knife, I hate the build quality. I will contact the seller, see if there is something that can be done, because I want to keep this knife.
