Ecstatic Bratwurst. Get a good authentic German recipe going with granny smiths and some onions:German Sauerkraut & Bratwurst & Bacon Onion PotatoesGERMAN SAUERKRAUT:3 Tbsp. butter1 medium granny smith apple1 small onion, sliveredSauerkraut - RINSED AND DRAINED1/4 c light brown sugar1/2 c light brown beer1/8 tsp black pepper1/2 tsp caraway seedBACON ONION POTATOES or a side of French Fries (try one day)2 tbsp. of real bacon bits1/4 c onions, diced.1/2 c balsamic vinaigrette1tps Butter4 small potatoes, sliced 1/4" thick3 Tbsp. brown sugar1/2 tsp seasoned salt1/4 tsp pepperBRATWURST:6 bratwurst1 1/2 c water2 Tbsp. butterMethod1. Melt 3 T. butter in skillet. Over medium heat, brown the apples and onions in the melted butter, until they are nicely caramelized and tender, stirring constantly. Put sauerkraut in the pan with the apples and onions. Sprinkle brown sugar over, toss well in the browned butter. Turn to LOW, add the beer, black pepper and caraway seed. Cover.- Cook the sauerkraut/apple/onion/brown sugar/beer mixture over very low heat, stirring occasionally, until it's caramelized and nice, golden brown color. Cook for at least 1 hour.- Stir occasionally, to bring the browned stuff up from the bottom and give the rest of it a chance to brown. Prevent it from burning, but very slight scorch is a good thing. When it's browned to satisfaction, slide it off the heat let it sit in final serving dish.2. Bacon Onion Potatoes: while stirring above: preheat large sauté' pan on med. 2 - 3 minutes.- Cook the bacon until crispy.- Add onions and butter in pan and cook 5 - 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until onions are caramelized.- Add potatoes, balsam, seasoned salt, pepper, cover and simmer LOW until potatoes are cooked through, approx. 25 minutes.- Keep covered, don't cook dry. Add a splash of beer to keep potatoes moist, "steam" cook them. Stir occ., gently, to prevent potatoes breaking apart.3. Bratwurst: Prep about 1/2 hour before you want to eat.- In large skillet, place the bratwurst, water, and 2 T. of butter. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to med., and cook 10 - 12 minutes, turning occasionally, until water evaporates and bratwurst begin to brow by the butter to clinging to the brat skins, brown them nicely. Turn, as needed, to keep them from burning on one side.4. Serve with light-toasted dark brown bread and butter, applesauce, and dark brown mustard.

Went in the bin!!!!
Extremely disappointed!!! ... the product arrived 3 days after dispatch- the paperwork accompanying the product states requires refrigeration after 48 hours!!!Needless to say I’ve completely wasted £7 as it wasn’t consumable by the time I got it home!

I will no longer be purchasing these Bratwurst, as they have become too expensive.

Do recommend the bratwurst
It was a genuine bratwurst, enjoyed sharing them with friends. The curry ketchup goes well.
