Love this
My son uses this Frederick Benjamin Crown Control and really likes it. He has nonporous hair so most products sit on his hair without impacting it, but this softens his hair, adds moisture and shine, and helps to define his curls. This works for him.

Good Hair Styling Cream
My hair has changed so much throughout my life. I now have thick, wavy hair that leans heavily on dry. And it's long, so there's a lot of thick, wavy and dry. I'm always looking for a dressing, gel or cream that makes that all look more controlled or more styled. More - anything great. Enter this "Crown Control" cream. What I liked: This is aptly named, because I put a blop on my hands and worked into the top and sides that frame my face, and that hair wasn't going anywhere. I let it dry, and it was very sticky, moderately hard and thickly solid. Just for the heck of it, I brushed it, and I got simply loose hair, with waves, but not the dry fly aways I normally would have. What I didn't like - I'm thinking.....not a lot. I think I may have used a little too much. The directions say to use a coin sized amount, and I added more because I do have long hair. However, I might have had less "very sticky" if I backed off a little.1) Didn't mind the mild smell2) Didn't have any white flaking (or at least, not so far...) I have dark hair, and no flaking.3) My hair now is post shampoo but not wild post shampoo, which is actually a nice change.Absolutely recommend it; it's worth a try if you have wavy/curly/thick hair. I'd suggest starting off with a small amount and working up/larger. It's a reasonable price, so it's a good value.

Nice Medium Hold Product
This is a interesting product, I mostly lean toward Pomade types for my short hair so I am used to the get a little, warm it up in your hands and spread it out through the hair. This stuff is more like a white hand or face lotion, but as you spread it out through the hair it will go clear. The scent is ok, but wears off after a couple of mins. When it dries it has a medium pomade type of hold. Worth a try!

Pomade and Gel Hybrid
I believe this is my favorite hair product. For years I've used different gels and pomades, but this one seems like a hybrid between the two. It feels like a thick hand lotion and smooths out invisibly in your hair. The lotion like texture allows you to style your hair with ease. It will set after a few minutes and hold your hair well. It is a softer hold like pomade but slightly stiff like gel. Unlike pomade it is not greasy at all and unlike gel it is not tacky to the touch if you get your hair wet. The product has an appealing lemon zest scent that goes away after it sets in your hair. I love that this product takes on the best features of both gel and pomade, but leaves out the negatives. It's my new go to for a dapper doo.

Matte, Very Hard Finish
This is a white gel that does hold with a very rough texture matte finish. If you touch your hair once it's dried, it will leave a sticky feeling in your hands. I think it's better for people with short hair, or people who want a fixed hair do. It's not great for long hair worn down, as it basically gives hair a "halloween wig of crazy person" texture once it's been moved around. The scent is strong when opened, and feels a lot like medicine, or something of the sort. I'm not a fan of that. I might not be the demographic for this product. I might keep using it but only when I need a lot of hold when shooting a video, not when I have to go out, as it does leave the hair feeling rough. However, it does not flake, exactly as advertised. I think this is a good product, but the smell is not for everyone. It doesn't stay all the time, but maybe if you can smell it first at a store you might be more sure of the purchase.

Nice defined locs!
This worked well on my son’s locs! He is not one to wrap his hair after a few days however this product did help keep his locs looking good and defined for a longer period of time, it holds well!

Cream consistency
I like the consistency of this cream because it’s more of a lotion feel. It absorbs quite well and goes from white to transparent once rubbed and completely massaged in. Hair looks nice and hydrated not dark and dull. Nice size container. I mostly use on my edges for an extra hold rather than soft edge control gels and it seems to work just fine. I have locs so I don’t ever add many products to my hair regimen as I keep away from doing to much and ruining my loves.Overall it’s a nice cream I would say.
