First of all it comes with thick base gasket for helping to prevent heat soak and boil over so you may need longer studs or thinner gasket............Flooded right out,,,,,,took top off and seen metering rod came loose and shut off main jet and MOST of all, held float down which prevented needle from seating.........float level was set WAY too low, so you would have driveability problems,,,,,If carburetor doesnt run right, and you can, or want, to investigate, the top comes off with a few screws and the linkage unhooks and you can see if metering rod is connected and what float level is,,,(takes about 15 minutes) and air cleaner stud mount is metric, so retap it or use old one,,,,,,,,also this has an electric choke which you have to tie into the ignition circuit for the choke to open, but runs fine now,,,,,,I would buy another one for a 6 cylinder Chevy/GMC,,,,,,So you got options, maybe it works, maybe it needs some adjustments, maybe send it back,,,,
