Had an ugly wood one that was not flush with floor. Ordered this on as it looked like it would work with gray flooring. It did!!!!

I like this floor grate. It is clearly an upgrade visually. It looks really good in place. It is not nearly as robust as the old one shown, since that old one is all metal, and these new ones are metal topped with plastic components beneath.The slider to open and close the vent is significantly easier to manipulate compared to the old ones. I cannot tell for sure, however, if there is more or less open area for air flow. I would probably need some sort of air flow meter to know for sure. It appears to me that there is just a bit less, so maybe air doesn't flow as easily and although left and right on the old ones are not much in the way of deflection, these new ones don't have any directional influence.I use directional shields with them anyway, so it is not a huge issue for me, but if you don't want such deflectors on top of your vents, it would be something to consider.Overall, I do like them and the look nicer. I think they are a decent value, I am just not sure how durable they are, but then again, how much abuse does a floor grate take?

I love the way these look! The part under that controls the air flow are kinda cheap plastic and often when you don't want the air to come up, it does anyway.

I bought this grate to replace an old one that had rusted onto the linoleum in our bathroom. I have washed the floor a few times, and so far, this one has not left any marks on it. I really like the color and the pattern of the grate, it blends in better than the old grate, and is a much lower profile. I wish I had seen this one first!

Metal is heavy, not flimsy. Beautiful patern. Vent slides open and closed easily with very little air leaking out when closed.

They look good but fall apart easily and have to keep snapping it back togetherDon’t step on them either, bend easilyPut register in opening and the plastic damper falls offNot worth the price paid for it
