Great replacement for the original Tom Tom One XL window mount. Purchased this to replace the original one supplied with the Tom Tom which had served well, but was now broken. So far it has proved to be an excellent replacement - so good in fact I would recommend purchasing this on day one and ditching the mount supplied with the Tom Tom. It grips the window perfectly and the lever to make it attach/detach is so much better than the supplied Tom Tom design. It is very solid and won't let the satnav sag like several other designs. Be aware that the Tom Tom holding clip can be detached by undoing the two thumbscrews that hold it to the main mount and turned around - one way works best if you like your satnav low on the window and the other is best if you like it mounted high - the choice is yours!

Thank you for inventing this life-saving item (literally). I busted my tyre when I clipped a curb after my damn Tom Tom kept dropping off the window and I was constantly trying to stick it back on whilst driving. A 1 hour wait for breakdown service at 2am plus £70 for a new tyre seems like nothing compared to what could have happened. I'm so mad at Tom Tom for even supplying the poor excuse of cr*p that comes with their standard sat navs, they should not be allowed to sell that because judging from the comments on here, they are rubbish and actually really dangerous.This item has been great, super strong suction, never fallen off once or had any trouble with it, I just wish I'd brought it a lot sooner. Worth it completely.

I use my Tom Tom occasionally and when I do place it on a nav mat rather than the windscreen. The nav mat is ideal as it saves me having to remove it from the windscreen and stays as one unit which I can place under my seat, when I stop. However, the original mount became very unstable and defeated the object of the nav mat. When I saw the reviews of this, it seemed to be exactly what I wanted. The order arrived very quickly, and as other reviewers have stated and I concur, this is a better product that the original. Tom Tom now sits pefectly on the nav mat, a really good product.

Buy it!Throw the totally rubbish mount that came with the TOmtom out of the window and buy this!The original mount is downright dangerous falling off the windscreen at any time. This thing is a really professional quality product. It's really sturdy, you can lock it into an exact position easily and it WILL DEFINATELY NOT FALL OFF THE WINDSCREEN !!They do make long reach versions of this but unless you drive a truck this should position your satnav in an easy to access position. It works perfectly on my BMW convertible and my wifes C-Max.The way all things should be designed and made!

Why TomTom don't do window mount holders of this quality as standard is a thought that passes through my mind every time i use this holder.I mean,the average TomTom isn't at all cheap to buy,they can cost several hundred pounds but the standard holder looks like at costs less than a couple of pounds.Even if they increased the price by a fiver and put a quality holder in the box,i'm sure they'd sell more. This holder is robust,it grips strongly to the window first time every time.It's got special bolts for tightening in the right position and it holds the TomTom securely in place. I'd definately recommend this top quality holder to anyone considering buying it.

I've had the V1 for a long time now and used a few different version of window mount. The original is terrible always kept falling off when you didn't want it to. I also tried air vent mount which worked sort of but was too tricky to use. So i came across this one and read good reviews. Price was fair and when it came it looked well made. I put it on the car once and it's never fallen, come loose, or shifted. It's one of the best i've seen, and don't think i'll be replacing it unless i get a new sat nav! Slightly 'chunky' but not excessive. If your looking for a replacement mount for TomTom ONE XL V1 this is it!

I was a bit reluctant to spend so much money on a windscreen bracket, however I'm glad I did.It fixes to the glass well and doesn't wobble or vibrate with the TomTom fitted. It's a good fit on the windscreen of my van and is easy to adjust. I'd definitely recommend it - a massive improvement over the original TomTom bracket. I hope it continues to give good service in the heat and cold of the van!

My TomTom ONE XL holder broke after months of malfunctioning - falling off the windscreen with a distractingly loud bang, being difficult to get in the right position ..... this product is AMAZING! Holds the SatNav firmly in position, with the best designed suction cup I have ever used. If I had known how good this holder was, I would have bought one earlier.
