Our garage never had enough light. Like a lot of newer construction, the builder had installed one standard incandescent fixture per bay. Even with 150-watt equivalent CFL bulbs, it just wasn't bright enough in there. If I needed to work on the car or the riding mower, I'd always be plugging in a portable shop light just so I could see what I was doing. I had thought about rewiring to put in some shop lights, but that would've meant tearing up drywall, etc. Then I ran across these bulbs. They're just what I was looking for -- now we have bright, consistent lighting that reaches to all corners of the garage. They're big bulbs, so they may not work for you if you have low ceilings, but for our 11-foot garage ceilings they are great. There doesn't seem to be any interference between the bulbs and the garage door openers, and so far we're very happy with these bulbs. Hopefully they will last as long as LED bulbs are supposed to, and I won't be up on the ladder changing bulbs any time soon.

I don't review a whole lot of items on Amazon, but holy cow, I had to do one for this light. I turned a small walk-in closet into a sort of craft room and the light was just completely inadequate for my needs. When I saw this I figured it was worth a shot. What a difference! I can now easily see my work. I had also bought a small light bar to add in the area but I don't think I'm going to need that now. Very white, beautiful light. Also note, this light is BIG. It is not going to fit under any kind of decorative fixture. It's not pretty, but I didn't need it to be. It does the job, highly recommend.

I have several florescent lights in my basement but they all seem to be at my back when I am working at one of my work tables. I bought these to supplement them and could use these alone! They are bright and feel like full daylight. Have been painting in my house and remodeling my bath and my husband has been using them to get the best light ever!! Takes them from room to room replacing the existing lightbulb to work. They don't get hot. Best bulb ever!!

I have purchased two orders of two bulbs each. They are vary bright and I was pleased with how they lit up my work shop. However, within a year, one bulb from each order has failed. The company reimbursed me the cost of two bulbs through Amazon for the two that failed but had no explanation for the premature failure. The bulbs are mounted in a heated utility pole barn so the temperature never falls below 50 F. At this price point, these should last much longer.

This is a large light bulb, it hangs down about eight inches from the socket and is a good four inches in diameter. This puts out a large quantity of bright light. This is great for garages, basements, and work shops. There is also a shrouded version that doesn't hang down as low, but the light seem more focused on the area directly underneath in about a ten foot circle. This version spreads the light much more.

Generally, the light works (when it does) and the light is bright. One of 10 failed at 6 months and the manufacturer would not honor the 3 year warranty due to the fact that I bought it from Amazon (and a vendor that was not authorized).

Awesome bright. Two of these replaced old CFL's in my large garage. Really lights things up.

We replaced our 2 100W bulbs with these StonePoint Big Bulbs and I garage is so bright it's like a showroom. I loved this so much I bought one for my parents dark (no-windows) garage.
