All in one
It's an amazing little kit for propagating and growing avacodo seeds. It is perfect for little hands (big ones too) to from start to finish have their own avacodo tree. Having a lot of plants, this is an amazing way to include little ones in their own project. The amazement and excitement on their faces when they see that root appear from their floating seed is indescribable. Presently, we just have a root...but as the growing process continues this container turns into the plants home...from floating seed to planted tree. .I am certainly happy with this kit and the joy, responsibility, and education it has shared with my little plant person.

Fun ~
My neighbor has one. And she said it was easy to use and showed her pit that was growing. She sent me the info, and now I have my own. It was easy instructions, easy to follow. I’m already using it, and look forward to seeing it grow. I like the clear plastic base so it’s easy to see the water level, and possible roots. I’m planning on gifting one for Christmas.

Cool product
Best way to get a root to grow is to peel the skin off the seed from the avocado. Then put it in a damp paper towel in a plastic ziploc bag and leave it alone for a week or two. If it’s a good seed it will begin to split and a root will start growing. once the root is a little bit past the seed plant root side down into the holder and place in water. Change water every few days to replenish oxygen in water

Works amazing
I had to replace the bottom container with a glass vase because the roots became too large, constantly tilting over within the green container given. But it's worth the price for starting an avocado sapling.

Fun but pointless unless you want a future pot
The cup and toothpick starters work just the same but you do get a tub you can use as a pot - the clear plastic gets algae and once the roots take you can’t keep it as is - it won’t stay long term without soil

This is cool!
I planted a seed and I am hoping it will grow. If not I will try again. I followed the directions and I noticed that you can weight the seed if needed by adding a little water the seed holder reservoir. Too much water will make it sink. You can use the white insert if you want to plant in soil but I will grow in water until it's big enough to pot. I do think it's a little over priced, but it's a cool idea and I am excited to watch it grow!

Do NOT buy!
Do NOT buy this. You get a plastic container worth $.25; it’s not a plant and doesn’t have a seed. It’s just the container. Literally. You get a piece of plastic Tupperware. We even tried putting our own seeds but nothing will grow. It’s quite ridiculous and now it’s too late to return it after waiting for it to try and grow.

Fun!
This is such a cool little experiment. I have to admit, I didn't think my first attempt was going to work, because I couldn't get the skin off the pit and scratched it up really badly. But the root started growing after 2 weeks, and the top growth started after a month. I got the clear/clear version, and it sits on the shelf above the sink where I can keep an eye on the progress. After seven weeks, the top growth is 9" tall and starting to show leaves!Beware, this may inspire you to start buying other indoor plants...

Just as the picture suggests
Item arrived sooner than the expected delivery date. This is not something I would normally purchase but it saves me the trouble of having to use toothpicks and keep changing/adding water. My seed has split in a record 4 days so I'm excited to see some green starting!

Terrible value for money!
£18 for a small plastic container and tray with a leaflet described as a manual. Plus you have to buy an Avocado to get the seed. Returned it same day!
