Pleasantly Surprised
I was low on storage bags and wasn't able to get to get some. I was in the process of trying to find some on amazon to have shipped and cam across these. I had considered getting some of this type before, so I could have as a back up if I ran out of the disposable ones.I actually almost didn't get them, because I was skeptical of the size and thought they would be very small and not able to hold much. I did end up ordering, because there were several sizes and figured they are a back up if needed.I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the bags (much larger than depicted in the picz), as well as how well made they were. The closures were very secure, they open nice and wide, and the weight/density of the bags was a very nice quality. The varied sizes are definitely a plus. I am absolutely getting a 2nd and maybe 3rd set and ditch using the disposable ones.My strawberries stay so much fresher and grapes stay crisper. We can actually have them in the fridge longer and enjoy them instead of having to rush to eat them the next day or day after before they start to go bad.

Finally!
Finally I have some silicone baggies that I can easily open and close. The last set I just gave away because I couldn't get the plastic piece to slide enough to keep the food inside. These are as easy as a ziplock baggie. ❤️

NOT WORTH THE PRICE. KEEP USING DISPOSABLES
Have already thrown away 5 of these bags. One popped open at the seam; one developed a small hole; all five refused to close again after putting them in the dishwasher (it said they were dishwasher safe). If you do put them in the dishwasher, the bigger ones are too tall to stand up straight and in an open position, so the insides don't get washed. Handwashing is a doable hassle. I have had food spoil in these and the smell is hard to get rid of. I ended up putting hot water and soap in them, closing them up, and letting them sit in my sink for a while. Then I would rinse them out and smell them for any offensive odors that lingered and close the "zippers" up while they were still warm and pliable. The next step is to get the "drying rack" out that I bought specially for these bags (another $20 down the drain); put the rack on the warming burner of my glass-top electric stove and turn the burner on to help the drying process. Next, open up the bags now that they have cooled off and the zipper halves have hopefully found their way to each other, arrange as many wet bags as you can to stay open on the rack. The last step is to turn on the stove/microwave's overhead cooking light for added warmth to help the drying process. The last step in the cleaning process is to come back in 30-45 minutes, turn the stove off, and close up the bags again so they are more liable to close again when you put food in them, put them away, and clean up the leftover water & water stains on the stovetop. This is too much work for a few "green" bags for me! Turns out, I haven't been using the smaller-sized bags like I thought I would be, so they were sort of a waste anyway. But, I'll keep trying to use them instead of just throwing them away, until they, too, fail to be functional. I'm so glad that I kept my glass bowls with the top-shelf dishwasher-safe plastic snap-on lids. They may take up more room to store but at least they do the job they were intended to do! And, the good old- reliable ZipLock disposable bags will ALWAYS be in my kitchen drawer! Lesson learned. P.S. After these Amazon bags from China proved to be a bust, I saw that Costco was selling Ello brand bags. Although the plastic zippers ar better, all of the same probems still exist.
