Amazing ink.
Amazing semi permanent brown with unique green-leaning hue.Probably my favourite from J.Herbin. Well behaved on my pens, great for writing. Also for sketching and painting, washes will separate the water solublecomponents of the ink leaving a glorious yellowish warm aura on the paper.Highly recommend it!

Superb ink colour and shading
Lie de The is a great ink from J. Herbin. I have several other J.Herbin inks which I find tend to write a little on the dry side, but this is a superbly WET ink. Used in a medium nib fountain pen this ink writes exceptionally well, huge amounts of shading and every time I write with the ink I find myself wanting to make a cup of tea! If you're looking for a great brown with lots of shading this ink is definitely worth it.Downsides to J Herbin 30ml bottles is that it's really difficult to fill a pen with nib after 2-3 fillings, decanter into a larger bottle or use an ink syringe and put ink into a small vial or small shot glass is an easier way to then fill the nib on the pen. Alternative ways are to wash out and refill a long international standard cartridge if you'd prefer.

Will definitely reorder when I run out
I partly bought this because of the name and because I like the brand but this is a lovely ink and looks good with a medium nib but also really neat and easy to read with a fine nib. I love it and use it for work with a fine nib frequently. I've had no problems with bleed through even on cheap notebooks so far.

Yellow ink - white paper - doesn't really work.
Self-confessed fountain pen nut here. I have a lot of fountain pens and a lot of different ink colours - but not yellow. So I bought this to make up for that singular omission. Oh dear! There's a reason why yellow is not a popular ink colour - once you write with it, it can be very hard to see what you have written, and so it is with this particular colour. Yellow on White (or cream) coloured paper just doesn't work. So I am now using this for artwork and illustration and it does that just fine.

J Herbin 30 ml"D" Ink Bottle - Indian Orange
I usually write with a violet ink which I get from Lamy but thought I'd try this "orange Ink" from J Herbin. It's a very good ink, flows well, dries quickly, good strong orange colour and I am pleased with it. On my next order I will be ordering some additional coloured inks from J Herbin. Would recommend it.

Lovely orange ink from France!
Lovely orange ink from France! I write a lot using old fashioned fountain pens - no I am not ill - find it therapeutic and I can type using a keyboard! The point here is that for those who love to use pen and ink this ink is a very nice colour. It 'flowed' particularly with a gold nibbed fountain pen. Well worth the cost and it arrived quickly and was well packed. Recommended.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002MOX7RA/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_18

VERY pale pink!
This ink is a beautiful light rose colour, pink with the slightest hint of lavender. But be warned - it's very, VERY pale. Works well in a dip pen, or a pen with a broader nib that's quite wet (gives out a lot of ink as you write). In a Lamy Safari with an extra fine nib, the ink is a little too pale to be read easily. The ink itself is J Herbin's usual excellent quality. Flows well, doesn't take an age to dry, and cleans up easily from nibs.

bit disappointed
Well I was hoping for pink ink which i suppose it is. But actually this is a watery based product giving a very light weight pink colour. so i was disappointed.
