Fantastic scratch-off map! The art is very colorful and high-resolution. The little guitar pick scraper that comes with it is great; you can use the tip to get right up to the borders and spin it around to the edge for hacking away at Texas. I did not have any problems with the art scraping off while using the guitar pick and was able to get lots of clean edges around states (see photo). My only recommendation is to have a hand vacuum cleaner nearby as you're scratching because the little gold dust gets everywhere--I had to take a shower when I was done to get it all off me! Worth it though as the final product is perfect.

This map was so fun and interactive for my family. Between deciding if we are scratching off states we’ve only stopped and slept in or including stress we’ve traveled through. Then it comes down to Texas, because let’s be honest East Texas and West Texas should be two states. But overall, this is totally giftable and I would have loved to been gifted this as a family who travels frequently. Packages was great as it came in a tube, but be sure to have some heavy items to assist in flattening it out. The images upon scratching are detailed and beautiful in their own distinct way. Cant wait to scratch more in the near future!

The media could not be loaded.  I loved this product when I bought it a year ago. I was super excited. Then the pandemic hit and I can't travel anymore. Now I just get back from a vacation to a new state and when I was to scratch nothing came out. I tried so hard that I even scratch the photo! I had another map for NP that is 3 years old and I can scratch it without problems!

My daughter had seen this and fell in love with it. I bought it for her and surprised her with it when she came in from college. She was so excited. It is awesome. I'm going to mount it with an open frame (allowing for continued scratch off) to mount on the wall. It is a beautiful show piece. We love that it has pictures of things each state is known for. It's great for tracking your bucket list. I plan on purchasing another one for myself. Hopefully, one day I will have all the states scratched off. What a great idea!

I got this as an anniversary present, and after reading the instructions- when I wrapped the gift (in a frame with no front glass, so we could scratch it while in the frame) I was very gentle to not touch the gold "scratch off" part since the instructions said it could easily be scratched. When the gift was unwrapped, no gold have came off and I was relieved. But once we tried to scratch the gold off of the states, I noticed how hard it was to come off. The instructions said to be gentle, so we were but you needed a little more pressure to scratch it off. A lot of the gold didn't come off and the more we tried, it ripped the paper itself, damaging the pictures of the states under the gold. I was really disappointed as I've seen these maps around and was excited to finally have one me and my S/O could do together, not to mention I felt I wasted almost $30.

I really love this. I’d been looking for one & for the quality and price would definitely purchase again! Only ONE complaint: the states scratch off very easily so be careful where putting pressure or you may accidentally reveal some of a state you haven’t been to yet. Positive is for me I can just tell my boyfriend it’s time for a new trip since I’ve scratched some of it off already haha!

This was such a winderdul purchase! My 16 year old son and I have been traveling together for a few years now and when we hit the east coast for the first time we decided it would be fun to have a map that showed our adventures. This one is perfect for the states and the fun art you discover when scratching off the gold is so fun!
