Total Crap
I read the Sandeep Deo section and it is nothing but fiction.. It has even more lies than the history told by Ram Guha and Romila Thapar... Total crap.. written with an intention to malign and not with the intention to present facts.. factually incorrect and substandard book

Laying bare misused religious ideology and it's votaries
Religion has the power to unite and be compassionate. All religions preach love and compassion for the rest of humanity. It can also be misused to create divisions. This book gives the examples of the latter.

A Must Read
One of the finest books i read in 2023... Frighteningly real.. Ground level reporting.. Detailed work about how sanghaparivae injects communalism like a poison..

Fascinating and insightful book on a pertinent topic
This is one of the most fascinating and insightful book of this year and fulfills a totally unexplored research area with top quality reportage. The author is able to connect the dots well in terms of rising popularity of right wing leaders and the role of popular culture in it. With three well researched case studies from the Hindi heartland the author is able to delve deeper into the psyche of youth, their aspirations and the role of social media as a guiding force in building public perception. By doing critical analysis of the content churned out by right wing supported 'pop stars', this books opens a Pandora box and a need for much more research in this area. This is essential reading for researchers, students, media people as well as common citizens of the country.

The Best
Religious extremism in any form and in any part of the world is dangerous. This book vividly explains how the religious extremism builds up. The events described in the book resemble Nazi propaganda used in Germany under Hitler. It is high time people break the shackle of religious fundamentalism.
