Quality camera pod, fits in a variety of bags nicely
If the Peak Design Smedium Camera Cube were a person, it’d be that friend who always shows up perfectly organized and on time, while you’re still fumbling for your keys. It’s compact but spacious—kind of like a TARDIS for your camera gear. The dividers inside are like tetris for adults, letting you customize the layout to fit everything from your DSLR to that quirky little item you secretly carry around for "inspiration." Yeah, I see you.Built like a tank but with the finesse of a ballet dancer, this cube has survived being tossed, squished, and even slept on. Your gear stays safe, and your sanity stays intact.

Perfect Protection for Smaller Mirrorless Camera Set Ups
I purchased this for a short trip to New Mexico. I prefer the flexibility of a regular backpack rather than a dedicated camera backpack. I was able to pack my Canon EOS RP and my RF 24-105mm, RF 28mm, RF 85mm, RF 100-400mm along with a charger and a couple of extra batteries. The construction of the bag itself is excellent and the padding made me confident that I could throw the bag in my backpack without having to worry. The internal organization/dividers are excellent and make retrieving/swapping lenses much easier than a traditional backpack. I can’t say enough good things about this bag.

Built tough
Product is well built, zipper should hold up. While the dividers create a lot of options, they still weren't quite right for the gear I had, hence the overall 4 stars. The bag holds 4 lenses and a Sony a7cr. Bag fits in my 34L Osprey backpack. Snug, but it works.

Versatile size fits most mid size backpacks
I bought this in addition to my camera bag and Pelican to use with a 20L fully waterproof backpack while hiking and fly fishing. (Simms Dry Creek Z). I pad the bottom of the bag with a jacket and have enough room left over for either a yeti lunch box or a drone. The cube itself can hold FF body and 3 lenses, but very tight with A7R IV, 16-35, 24-70, 70-200. I usually pack it with the 16-35 and then 70-200 by itself. Camera body and two lenses leaves enough space for a GoPro, filters, camera strap and cards. A bit overpriced, but I feel most Peak design products are worth a slightly higher price once you really integrate them into your routine and process.

Fantastic
Peak design makes fantastic products and this is no different. I’m able to fit my camera with a 50mm lens attached an 85mm lens my flash trigger and several batteries in this. I then can fit this pack in my Peak Design backpack. Fantastic for travel.

They ruined these
Let me start my saying I love peak design gear. I have 5 backpacks, a sling, tote, tripod, mobile cases and accessories, multiple tech and wash pouches, and probably 6 V1 camera cubes. I was excited for the changes in the V2 cube but there is one MAJOR thing that makes then unusable for me. This one is almost one inch shallower (height) than the V1. This was the main reason I used peak camera cubes even in other brands camera bags, they always had the most depth. This allowed my camera bodies (with lenes) attached to fit on their side, grip up, and save tons of space compared to shallower cubes where this is not possible. Also that extra depth allowed certain lenes and gear (RF 24-70 2.8, DJI Mini Pro and controller for example) to all fit vertically in the V1 cubes. I am so sad that this is not possible in the V2 comfortably. The other changes are so nice, the new zips, wider opening (my biggest complaint on the V1), the new small "Z" divider to fit tight places.

Excellent quality but did not fit my 100-500mm lens
Like all Peak Design products, this Camera Cube is no exception: it has great build quality and it's made of noticeably good materials. Simply put, I just like Peak Design products. They are likely the "Apple of photography gear".I sadly returned this camera cube, though, as it did not fit my Canon RF 100-500mm. So, if you're planning on packing some larger lenses, buy a bigger one.

No Side Access :(
I really wanted this Smedium for my messenger bag but there’s no side access like the medium, which is too big, so I need a different option.
