Get them to go!!
Ok so I’ve only had it for a week so I can only comment on what I know. I have a 1971 house in the middle of remodel. The tiles are original and the 4 inch ones. I worried that the suction cup part would not center on them and straddle the old grout which would cause it not to secure. It fits! I put it on unclean tiles ( not recommended) just to make sure it stuck and if it was where I’d grab. afterward. I decided I’d clean the tiles, let them dry and stick them up. They were stuck so good I had a very hard time getting them off! They are now where I want them, secure, very comfortable thick bar and look great ( I got them in gray). I tore a tendon and after the surgery the doc gave me a 6 month recovery so I ordered these. I may have to stay with a friend or relatives every now and then so I will take 1 or both with me and place one near the toilet and 1 in the shower. They did stick on a painted vanity side. Make sure to read the directions which says to take them off monthly , clean and reapply. I plan to. One of the least expensive of grab bars on Amazon.

Used? or extremly cheap metal?
Mounted one of the pair of handles on shower stall seamless wall. Seemed sturdy. Shower was tured on but handel barely got wet. About one week later went to remove it from wall (before it lost suction and fell on it's own, as it seems all these type handles do). Soon as lever was flipped open one suction cup completely disconected from the handle. All metal underneath cup was completly rusted. (see pic) Used? or extremly cheap metal. The unmounted handle of the pair did not show rust under cup; that I could see any way. Returning pair.

It’s holding
Si far so good. Is holding on fine to the shower wall. Don’t know how long it will last but so far is the best one I bought…& there’s 2 of them!

Definitely acceptable shower handles
These handles work well as long as you clean the area first with rubbing alcohol. My first attempt went bad when during the night they fell to the basin of the shower stall. I needed good support to hang on too while going from wheelchair to shower after surgery and did not need permanent handles installed.

The suction is weak
They both fell within 1 month of placing them. The suction cups are cheap. Low quality product.
