Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  As the title says it worked just fine with my Toshiba laptop which will run and charge with this plugged in.However after using only a few times the part of the cable that connects to the charger from the wall no longer "firmly" pushes into the charger block and falls out quite easily and is VERY fiddly to try to get it to charge the laptop, the slightest movement tends to cause the laptop to stop/start charging rapidly as it appears to break the connection. Maybe mine is defective but to get it to work correctly now requires a lot of "playing" around with it to get it to charge and do my best not to move itI can't say if I could or couldn't recommend this product as it does indeed work when it's plugged in but at the same time if other units are the same as the one I was sent then it may become defective in the same way and you won't be able to use it without fiddling with the cables.See video/pic for what I mean about the cable, it doesn't seem to grip into the charger block at all and even when fully inserted it doesn't contact inside properly

First review I'm leaving on here. Reason is both the product and the service I received compel me too.I have a Toshiba laptop, some years old, hard to find replacements for. Charger went up in sparks and smoke and I bought a generic charger at the price of this one. Heated up and smelled sometimes. Six months on and it was no longer working. I opened it up and god did it look flimsy. Like my little cousin could have welded its insides together. Plastic casing was cheap-looking, shockingly thin and looked quite brittle. Bought a third one (yet another brand) and returned days later as it was making a weird noise like humming.Then this Lavolta one arrived. About the same price or cheaper than the two I tried as replacements actually. But the difference is earth to sky. Looks and feels tough as old boots. Plastic is high quality, doesn't heat up and does not smell like my old one. It doesn't make weird sounds. Of course that is what you would expect of chargers but not been my experience. It goes a step beyond in looking like quality though. Materials are what you would expect of high-end brands. I'm not even sure I could open it if I wanted to! It's rather heavyish and rather biggish - for me that's a plus. This thing looks like it can take a beating - probably the undoing of two of my previous chargers.I was also in touch with the customer service team and they are the most responsive bunch you'll find. I hope this brand makes everything to such exacting standards, then I'll be returning to it. I don't want to be looking around for electricals when I need something for permanent replacement AND need it to perform efficiently AND need it fast. My other chargers now seem like silly toys/quick-fixes compared to this one

A high quality charger.Its always a bit of a gamble buying chargers for Laptops as so many cheaply made and dangerous ones available. Price is not always an indication of quality as alot are over priced to start with.I can confidently say that this charger is as good if not better than the original. I have used it constantly for several weeks now and it actually stays cooler than the original ever did.If I need to replace any other laptop chargers I will be looking for this brand as an alternative to the manufacturers original part.

My puppies chewed the cable on my original laptop charger (luckily it was not plugged), so I needed a new one for my Toshiba laptop. I've got this Lavolta one and it works perfectly! I am very glad. It came quickly and the provider was very nice, sending follow up emails asking if I'm satisfied with the product etc, which is a very nice touch!

Just as good as the manufactures version at a quarter of the price

Perfect replacement. There are cheaper ones, but I wanted to be absolutely sure on compatibility.

Does exactly what I want, larger than the missing original one and less expensive, works fine in my TOSHIBA - Satellite S50-B-15P

I've recently moved from Trinidad and Tobago to the UK, and needed to find a new adapter for the Toshiba S55 laptop. This product has worked out great, and allows me to do away with the converters I was using before.
