I initially started searching for Christmas lights and decided to go towards LED. Then I noticed a house in a nearby neighborhood that had installed LED strips permanently. The idea of putting lights up once and having the ability to even turn them on/off in any seasonal color felt like a huge win. It was a bit more of an investment than regular Christmas lights, but I'll never need to take them down or put them back up.Ok so about these specific lights. It was important to find a strip that was coat effective, weather proof, and easy to install. These hit all three. Comparing them to other brands, these give the most bang for your buck. For the same price most others only offer 5 meters where they offer double. The strips have a thick clear silicon finish which makes them weather proofing. It is importation note, these are not to be submerged in water. Finally they have a pretty strong 3M brand backing making them easy to adjust to any clean flat surface.To install, I first planned out my power source which I decided my garage had an electrical outlet allowing me to keep the transformer inside the garage. I used a standard RGB wire and connectors also found on Amazon to get wiring to the first strip. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the siding of the house really well, peeled the backing from the strip and taped the strip to the inner park of my roofs awning. I used RBG brackets to secure the two ends for extra durability.It is slightly more effort than plug and play, but the extra time makes for that permanent install. The strip is so thin, it is barely noticeable during the day unless you really look for it.Overall very happy with the purchase and especially with their customer service. I can say im very happy with the LED light strip, Its exactly what i wanted. BUT it took me 3 times of ordering it to get it right. The lights do have 3M tape on the back side but you will need to make sure surface is very clean. More than likely you will have to put spots of super glue to help hold it. I dont mind doing that but someone else may not want to do that. Other than the super glue thing, Im VERY EXCITED to show these off.*UPDATE*After owning these for just under a year, the inside light still work great and very happy. BUT the ones I mounted under my awning on my RV went bad and had to pull them off completely. Looking for FULL WATER PROOF OUTDOOR LEDs.

I have been converted.Perhaps the best reason why this product exceeded my expectations is the variety of ways I can customize it to my needs. I have a 24” LCD monitor and the strips provides more than adequate light behind it. Being able to dim it or brighten it, or allow it to transition to other colors or remain static is a huge. Because of the light behind the monitor, I don’t have to use my desk lamp as much, as the lights provide enough to help me not strain my eyes while working..This is extremely easy to install, again another A+. They are bright, colors are vivid and set up was breeze in under 10 mins. To change the light settings you will have press the in-line controller but, once you find a setting you like, you'll probably just leave it there.Only I issue I had was the controller end disconnected from the strip, it’s easy to slide off. Okay, if you can add another strip. Not so good if you’re using the original strip, could use a click and lock mechanism.

I purchased this light strip to create a ambient lightning behind my television in the living room.The product comes on a black reel and includes basic instructions for operating the 3 buttons on the controller.The control allows you to engage various modes and to shift between different colours.I was impressed by the colour transition, that is very smooth.The control panel is discreet and directly connected onto the strip. It is then easy to reach in case you have to make adjustments at any time.There is no wall-outlet power supply included, wich is a con for me.If you want to power this from a wall outlet, you will need to use your phone charger or any similar charger, then it will work properly.To finish on a positive note, you can plug this into the USB port of pretty much anything and it will work, wich is awesome!You can actually plug it into your computer or TV (some have USB ports) and when you'll put your TV on, it will power the LED strip, wich is very convenient.I would definitely buy it again!

I purchased this product to create a soft ambient glow behind my dual 24" computer monitors, and also to serve as a night light. The product comes neatly packed on a black reel and includes basic instructions for operating the 3 buttons on the control. The control allows you to engage various entertaining modes for shifting between different colours. It does so very smoothly. Here are some pro's and cons' I can point out:Cons:- Can't seem to get a pure white colour from the LED's. If this is important to you, you may want to contact the sellers of LED strips to confirm the colour temperature for white. This white that this unit puts out has a bluish hue to it. It wasn't such a letdown for me, considering the cost.- There is no wall-outlet power supply included. If you want to power this from a wall outlet, you will need to use your phone charger or similar. It works without issue.Pro's:- You can plug this into the USB port of pretty much anything and it will work. This is awesome! You can actually plug it into your computer or monitor (some have USB ports these days) and when it comes out of sleep, it will power the LED strip. Very convenient.- The colours transition from one to the other very smoothly. No stuttering. I was impressed by this.- The adhesive sticks very well, provided you clean the area with isopropyl alcohol first. This is key.- The control panel is discreet and built into the strip. You can easy make adjustments.

Awesome lights. So so much better then expected. I figured at this price they were going to be on the cheapo side but not at all.Solid construction and lights are in a silicone type cover which makes them completely waterproof.You can also cut to size which is a neat feature.I use mine on my longboard. Will be purchasing a second set to completely wrap the underside of my board.Colors are nice. Brightness settings are great and you can have 3 color variations for each color. (About 20 in total). You can adjust speed, modes and birghtness. Flashing to solid color and a slow fade color change.As seen in pic i wrapped it around the enclosure and passing by the middle. Also tape a powerbank to supply the power for lights. They barely use power and my powerbank asn't even dropped yet. (10000 bank)Sticked by 3m tape on the light strip but also added clear gorilla tape since i use it under a board that moves around. Added precautions.

I ordered three sets of these lights, the first failed before I could install them, and the second set has just failed, while encapsulated In a project I made a family member for Christmas, the 4 prong connection from the control chip to the strip itself is horribly cheap and fragile, The adheasive doesn’t stick to itself, and somehow while not only stuck to a surface but not being moved the strip developed a short. I hope that I simply have horrible luck, but my experience so far has been 2 out of 3 strips failing within 1 day of use. Extremely disappointed and about to undo a days work to try strip #3

Really professionally made strip lights. The LEDs look like good quality as well and the wiring to the USB is high quality stuff. You can't go wrong with these LED strip lights, my wife uses them for he fudge signs, there's a million uses I suspect for these lights.
