Be careful not to put it on drywall, because when you lean into it the wall will probably break, it has to attach to something solid, like a good solid door. I put it on a solid wood door and use it on my back, I'm able to effectively massage places I can't otherwise get to. The ball is soft but solid rubber with bumps. I wish the ball was like a deodorant roll-on ball or something, so it could rotate in any direction.

I guess this would be good if you had one small spot on your body that needed some work but if you're wanting to say do the upper or lower portion of your back - forget it. You'd have to be moving your body around too much to have that small ball working that big of an area.First I had to find the correct height and position to place the device so that I could reach the area I wanted to work. Once I got that right, I had to move up and down on my tip toes and then do squats to get the coverage I wanted. I gave up as it just seemed like I was doing exercises to get this to work.It does hold really firm on the flat smooth surface I stuck it on and it does feel pretty good where you can get it to reach but for me, it's just too much work.
