There are a handful of mounts available on the market right now, but the cohesive, "sealed off" look of this one swayed me. I was torn between getting white and black, since my Dot is black, but decided on white since my wall plate is white and I thought the contrast would look good.It comes in a pretty plain looking box, but everything is packed neatly and in the little foam sheets so the surface isn't marred during transit. There are only three parts - the plug cover, the short cable, and the Dot cradle. The included instructions are easy to follow. I was a little concerned with the part where you push the plug into the cover and the cable has to bend, but a few seconds of fussing with it and it went in smoothly. The pieces clicked together and the Dot clicked into place via a plastic retention clip that slots into the power recess. I have no fear it will fall out!Sure, this is just a few pieces of plastic and a short cable. You could rig something up yourself or 3D print a holder. But this looks clean. The quality of the plastic is nice... doesn't feel or look super cheap. I may even try painting it with some spray paint to spice things up, but the white is good for now. The one concern I have is whether the custom wallwart will generate enough heat to cause issues inside the housing, but so far, so good!P.S. One bonus I found - If you're like me and stuck your Dot in the corner or behind something, getting it up off the counter allows the sound waves to reflect off the corner better which helps it sound louder. Definite plus if you don't have a speaker hooked up!

This wall mount is the wall mount. It's small, sleek, and most important easy to install.The sleekness is judge on how noticeable it hangs from the wall and how much noticeable it is, which in this case is not much at all.All buttons are easily accessible with a small power adapter cord provided so you don't have an abundance of power cable setting out. With the wall mount you save space on the countertop. Also when installed into the lower outlet there is plenty of space to use the above outlet still, unlike other mounts.Pros: small, sleek, easy to installCons: none

Very innovative improvement for placing Echo Dot out of the way and hiding the wires. My wife loves to use our Dot near the kitchen as a timer and information device but would not allow the messy wires cluttering up her kitchen counters. She had to shout at Alexa from the kitchen which was annoying to me while watching TV so I had to remove the Dot to a place it never got used. Now it is plugged into a kitchen wall outlet where it is more helpful to her and others gathered in the kitchen, it actually looks good on the wall and is no.longer an annoyance to me. I now use a Dot remote from the other room when I need Alexa so the Dot can remain in the most helpful location without clutter. Great idea. I wish I had thought of it. Highly recommend this simple and inexpensive improvement.

Fits the Echo Dot perfectly. I really like that the power supply and cord is hidden within this mount. Other ones I looked at, left everything just hanging out and that looks cheap. Once you put this together (only takes a minute or two) it looks great and you can have it hanging down as the seller shows or reverse it and have the Echo Dot above the outlets, that is how I set mine up. With the Echo Dot facing out into the room vs facing the ceiling, it picks up your voice commands much easier/faster. Also with the Echo Dot face out into the room, it is easier to hear what the Dot is announcing. This should come standard with the Echo Dot.

I absolutely love these. They hide the cords (it comes with a short cord) so everything looks much cleaner. I purchased these for my kids bedrooms so that their echo dots would stay put in one place, no one was moving them around or knocking them off of shelves.***Assembly note, make sure you put the echo dot inside the casing first. Then run the cord through the top piece, plug it in the dot and you can slide the top piece into position (making sure it locks). Then you can plug in the USB outlet and you're good to go. If you don't do that in order, it's a pain and you end up having to take it apart to do it this way anyways. It's not plastic that is meant to be taken apart multiple times, so I don't think it would hold up being disconnected multiple times over.

Nice idea, holds well to the wall, but I planned on using it on the side of my coffee table, has mounting tabs inside if you want to screw down the base. comes with all shown in box. The plastic seems very durable. Your dot plug fits inside the housing on back, just make sure to thread the usb cable thru before attaching to base, snaps down tight.

Got an echo dot for Christmas, and with the layout of our house, there isn't a great central place to put it (I wish we had an in-floor outlet!).So I was looking for something that would mount it on the wall and not have a hideous amount of USB cable laying around. This fits the bill perfectly. Black blends in well with our dark green walls and dark bronze outlets, so you barely know it's there.I must say hat installing the echo was a little more work than I was expecting. This comes in pieces that you need to put together while putting the echo and power brick in place. Awkward at times, but eventually everything popped into place.

We have 3 of these in use for our kids. I like that we can have their echos plugged in and stored on the wall instead of on a dresser or nightstand. Very easy to use- simply push the dot into the top, connect the cord, slide in the plug, and plug into the wall. My kids were bumping them off their nightstands before and now they are accessible yet out of the way. This is also a great solution for a room that does not have anywhere to set the echo.
