No display.
I don’t like there not being a display. There is a flashing green light every 30 seconds but to see the display you have to press ‘test’ then you get the blue light and beeps. I bought this as we have an old wood burner and a gas boiler in another room. The device says Place it 15 feet away but is as there is a small amount of carbon monoxide emitted as wood burners start up. This is better than the old patch tester I had as I needed to check that but this has an alarm. I didn’t think the alarm was very loud but it suggests to have extra in rooms where doors are closed and would muffle the beeps. I will see how this gets on and try it in different rooms. It seems reasonable value and is very easy to install using the sticky pad if you don’t want to drill holes although you get screws and raw plugs if you do.

Small and Compact
Got this for my camper van, I love the fact it's so small and compact and can be tucked away without being too overbearing. The alarm is VERY loud so you won't miss it. I'm hoping I never have to hear it if I'm honest but I feel better knowing that it's there.

Carbon Monoxide Detector
This Detector comes boxed with instructions and some double sided tape to stick it to your desired location. The carbon Monoxide detector is quite compact and made of plastic. One note is it requires 3 x AAA batteries to function.I wasn't sure to begin with whether the batteries were already installed or not as there's hardly any mention of this in the instructions and even Step1 of installation doesn't mention them. After installing the batteries there is a "Test" button on the front of the detector to press and check if at least the batteries are functioning which it will then give a short alarm test. With the sticky tape on the back of the detector I have stuck it to the ceiling which appears to hold well in place. The detector does illuminate a red light every 30 seconds I presume as a monitoring light.I found the instructions not very helpful as they appear to be for a different detector as it talks about mounting brackets and mains connection. This device appears satisfactory although I cannot test its Carbon Monoxide functionality until we have a leak but on the surface this device appears fine and at an affordable price.

Compact alarm
Very easy to operate and contains a digital display with the ppm on. A green light flashes periodically to show the battery is working. Comes with fittings to attach to the wall.

Useful home safety equipment
A compact and effective portable Carbon Monoxide monitor for any home or holiday residence that uses combustion based heating. Using three AAA batteries which I obtained on a trip to Poundland it functioned rapidly and effectively displaying the alert level of 300 within a few minutes of being placed in a Wok with a lit candle as a test. While the display isn't constantly on, your home shouldn't have a permanent presence of hazardous fumes and when it does activate the audible warning and clear display make it quite clear what the situation is as the level reading counts back down to safety.

Works well but mounting on a wall could be an issue.
The form factor of this carbon monoxide alarm is quite small. It's about 70mm (2.75") in diameter and 25mm (0.98") thick. construction is of a hard white plastic with perforated metal grills and a backlit LCD display. The alarm requires 3 x AAA batteries which are not supplied so you'll need to add that to the cost of the unit. One the batteries are in the unit displays a number and then starts counting down. I assume this is some sort of self-test or calibration. After the count down the display goes blank and the unit doesn't appear to do anything. You can check it's working by pressing the test button. If all is well you'll be rewarded with 4 high pitched bleeps and a red flashing LED. The unit when in operation has a green LED that flashed about every 30 seconds to show the battery is good and the unit is working correctly.Inside the box along with the unit is a double sided sticky pad and two mounting screws and raw plugs. The only issues I can see with the unit is possibly mounting it. Any mounting of the unit will involve sticking or screwing the battery cover to a wall or ceiling and then sliding the alarm back over the cover. Given that the battery cover is a little fiddly to get on, this might be an issue.

All good
All good two pack of carbon monoxide detectors. Each unit takes 3xAAA batteries (not supplied) and are quick and simple installation. Digital display and test function for easy use. Fair value at just over £20 for two units (at the time of review) which feels about right for home safety peace of mind.
