I tried this on my laptop on Windows 10.(+) it worked!!(-) it requires 2 USB cables to be plugged in. I only have 2 USB ports, and one has my mouse plugged in.(-) the two cables are short and so I struggled to find an arrangement that didn't have one cable running straight across my keyboard(-) the eject button on the DVD player doesn't work

Great value for money and works perfectly. We'll packaged and arrived as expected. Recommend this product.

Works ok with my iMac laptop. If the laptop is ‘on charge’ then I can get away without having to use the second (ie power) lead and just use the usb lead connector.

A really nice bit of kit, looks expensive but isn't and I like the cutout underneath for storing the cable. The fact that one end is hardwired means you cannot lose it and I found the length perfectly adequate. Excellent value for money. Worked straight out of the box.

Hard to believe all previous reviews give this 5 stars. I am using a MacBook Pro running Sierra, and this drive doesn't seem to work. There is minimal documentation, no customer service number, and what documentation there is seems to be a comically bad translation from the original language. The drive doesn't show up on the desktop, iTunes recognizes it, but after initializing and burning the CD, it says 'finishing' and then never finishes. I'm patient, really, but after 15 minutes decided that it would not ever finish on it own. Tried to cancel the burn and it got stuck in that cycle too. Eventually unplugged and replugged the drive, ejected the disk. It played, although had no track information on it. I am sending it back, as there doesn't seem to be any help available and this is not what I want for the 'normal' operation of the drive. I will probably bite the bullet and pay for the Apple drive. Oh well, seemed like a good idea at the time!

It doesn't work for MacBook Air!!! I thought it would based on the reviews. You plug it in and absolutely nothing happens. Very disappointing. The instructions are also very limited and doesn't include instructions for installation on Mac. The instructions state click on "My Computer" which is not even on MacBook Air. The Mac does not recognize this DVD player at all.

I tried plugging directly into a usb 3.0 on windows 10 as I read its underpowered so a hub won’t work but I have not been able to use this one single time for anything despite hours of fiddling with it.

Intially I bought a less expensive LG portable drive, but it would only read / recognize about 1/2 the discs I needed it to. The Aphaca handled every disc without issue on my Windows 10 laptop using a USB 3 port. I'd buy this model again

Never Worked. Have download some random apps to get it to work. Garbage

I don't use it a lot, and like it when I need it.

No issues with it. Have tried it in a couple different computes. Have not needed to download any drivers...just plugged and played.

Don't buy it -- it lasted less than 2 months, then it went belly up!

This is simple, easy to use, plug and play on my Mac. its that simple, if you want a good, light weigh DVD player, here you go.
