Learn from my experience and apply it to your bad attitude on politics.
OOOO I was mad at this device after initially connecting my iPhone to the device on bluetooth. The volume was 1/2 that of my previous pair set of cheap bluetooth headphones, and I was annoyed more than usual as I'm sick of everything being a lie and being manipulative... in this context lied/manipulated by amazon reviews into thinking this was about to be a comfy, high quality pair of bt headphones when they actually had a fundamental issue nobody even cared to address.I logged into amazon and was cracking my knuckles ready to leave a sinister review of the ATH-SR6BT headphones. The review I had in mind was going to call out the american populus as a whole, specifically focusing on Amazon users/younger left wing people, and open up my grievances about the upcoming election and the fact biden is democratic nomination. A man who I disliked, then chose KH as the VP, and now hate to my bones, ensuring myself and fellow americans all lose no matter the outcome in November. My review of politics and headphones would've been tied into the media/online presence of younger people, how they are propogating BS using virtual environments as a way to push their lies and candyland outloook on the country/indicting moderates as racists/annoying me with their uppity virtue signaling that is based in rhetoric that's impossible to argue with but is also not a real political argument... just real ugly, unneccesarily politcal, and generally unhelpful opinions on the product and my fellow americans. People who I, until recently, love and revere as some of the nicest, least racist, most open armed and interestingly nutty people on the planet despite the recent madness in our news and election.I stopped writing this piece of garbage, called up a buddy, and distracted myself with some delicious flaming hot popcorns for 20 minutes and returned to the device in a better mood to begin troubleshooting.Onboard volume... the device has it's own chip iniside it that controls device volume. Took 2 minutes to figure out without the manual. This means there are two interfaces with control of the volume, instead of one on the device with master control. Not a feature I need or want, kind of decieving as the volume button on the device is marked with a < > >> ffw mark too, but I discovered the headphones aren't absurdly quiet and actually work great, very comfortable, and look pretty slick. The quality of voice over bluetooth on phone calls is the same as every other pair of "hd mic bt heaphones", aka not THAT hd and worse than your regular phone mic, but that's not the important feature to me on headphone quality, so 5 stars. This discovery did a couple things, it made me feel happy, then guilty, then upset. The fix also makes the reviews true, makes me wrong about the reviewers, makes me feel like an idiot for trying to bring politics into a gd heaphones review, and generally allows me to write a non-biased objective description of my personal experience with my purchase. So americans, and other peeps around the world, stop getting mad about politics and hating people who disagree with you. You're the problem if you can't separate politics from your daily ongoings like I did today, and let's face it, you can't speak to/have enough context for 95% of the crap you're all angry about right now. Best thing you can do for yourself and those you care for is discuss why we all disagree with each other so much, see if there are some easy first steps to take even if we disagree, and make sure we elect higher quality people in our elections to come. You've even got the smarties all polarized to hell right now, and that's a recipe for extremism, and not extremism is the good way america normally embraces and does well with. Don't hate the country and extend that hate to people who may have dumb politics, it's not the criteria of a good human, friend, or family member. Just try to be the calmer, more dragon-like wise person. Dismiss anyone you hear preaching 100% negative things to say about their opposing party and realize, like about these headphones, most people, ideas, and attitudes require critical thinking and testing before you can be sure of their quality. But being whiny and political and annoyingly one sided about stuff is evil and how stupid ideas slip through the cracks and inevitably make things worse for everyone. So... yea, the heaphones are pretty good, definitely worth the money. Cheers.

Best headphones so far
Been using them for few years, sound quality is perfect for me. Lasts 2 months of battery on average if using 1 hr per day. Pads replaced due to cracking of age. Rest is good.

They’re great... with an EQ
What other reviewers wrote about the sound signature of these headphones is true: they definitely emphasize the treble high notes and vocals to the detriment of the bass. Coming off of Shure in-ear monitors, my first impression was “it’s so hollow and tinny!” I am not a bass-heavy listener by any means, but I do like my bass to be more well-rounded than what these headphones provide natively. That said, they are not totally intolerable if you are willing to make some adjustments and understand where the compromises are.Firstly: it needs an EQ. Whereas my Shure makes all the EQ on my iPhone sound the same, with these you can REALLY tell the difference of what each EQ is doing and how it may help/worsen the “tinny” sound (it makes sense because these are audio monitoring headphones so differences between different sound signatures would be especially amplified). I use the Treble Reducer and turn up the volume. It restores enough oompf to the bass that my music sounds great again. It’s only after this that I can really appreciate the clarity of the Audio-Technica technology. The notes are bright and clear, not muddled. A lot of it actually also depends on the song itself, how it’s made, what instrument it uses. Songs that sound great on my Shure may not do so on these, and vice versa. The only downside to this is that the EQ is only applicable to the native Apple Music app, so if you listen mostly on other platforms like Spotify or SoundCloud, you may need some other third party app to provide you with an EQ. I also use these on my work laptop which has the Dolby Audio EQ on it; it’s great because it allows me to customize the levels to get it to a perfect balance.Second: sound quality on Bluetooth does take a hit, as already mentioned by others, in the sense that the tinniness/scratchiness comes back even with the EQ. I mostly use the Bluetooth only when I’m watching YouTube videos before bed at night though, so for me it’s not a huge issue and I’m willing to compromise. It’s the main reason why I went with this model that allows a wired connection, because I knew Bluetooth in general means a drop in sound quality for any brand of headphones. Connectivity is great though, I haven’t had any issues connecting or any signal dropping/warping. As for battery life, I haven’t charged them at all since opening them a few days ago, and it seems like they’re still going pretty strong.Third: the soundstage is pretty roomy. With in-ear monitors, you get the sound directly into your ears so it sounds like the musician is singing right next to your ears. With these, it sounds like they are performing in front of you in a room. This isn’t necessarily a good or bad thing, it’s more just personal preference; but it is different if you’re used to normal earbuds or in-ear headphones. Finally: comfort. This is where these excel. They are lightweight, feel nice and soft, and fit my head pretty perfectly. Obviously now that I am working from home all the time, I’ve been wearing them for long hours and I haven’t had any pain at all. I was even able to wear my glasses with them on yesterday and it was still comfortable the whole day. It’ll definitely be nice to wear them on a long-haul flight (not anytime soon though). On that note, they isolate sound pretty well, even without active noise canceling. Also, they look really cool; they make any wearer instantly look like someone who does audio monitoring for a living. In conclusion, I understand why some people would want to return these after putting them on and hearing the sound for the first time. Would I have paid the full $150 price for these? Probably not. But they were on sale at $89, and at that price it’s a steal.

Great buy for use of my professional singer husband!
I bought this for my husband's birthday gift as he was only using old apple earphones. Being a professional musician, it is a pity to see him practising with that old crap or an earphone. So I ordered it from here and he always uses it now. even when he does the mowing! LOL. The price is just right, but the features are still fancy compared to the newly released headphones that are way expensive as well.

A-T Delivers !
Awesome build quality, large drivers, solid aluminum earcup housings, great color and most importantly they’re very comfortable to wear. The design overall is reminiscent of old Technics gear, which to me is perfect. Battery lasts literally forever - it’s unfair to compare BT headphones to BT speakers since a headphone has to produce far less sound to do its job, in other words battery life should rarely be a concern in this product category.Controls are well-designed, although the buttons may be just a touch small and finnicky for some. I love that these bluetooth headphones can be used as regular old ‘headphones’ by plugging a cord into them! Bypassing the battery, the bt radio and the dac. All bt headphones should have this feature. This is not the first time I’ve settled on Audio-Technica after looking at lots of other brands - AT delivers! The only caveat to these is that if you like a lot of bass, you won’t find it here. These are very ‘flat’ sounding, which is what is prized in the audio community, rather than having boosted mids and lows which consumers will prefer. I do have to EQ them from my music apps to get the sound I expect.I’d like to thank the reviewer who put up the photos above of himself wearing them, which showed me they aren’t overly large. I’m glad I went with these rather than one of Sony’s way more expensive (and I suspect much duller-sounding) offerings.

Okay sounding, poor for calls
I've owned these for two years now, so I figured I'd provide a review from the long-term ownership perspective (a lot of reviews tend to be from new owners).First, the sound. For general music listening its "good enough" if you aren't into any serious audiophile listening (which you wouldn't be in this price range anyway). I am not, so these have been perfectly fine for me, especially given the reasonable cost. The sound is a bit more focused on the high end, but as other users have mentioned, you can get equalizers for your phone that would adjust levels. The construction of these is extremely solid; I've tossed these things around, travelled with them, worn them for hours at a time, no problem whatsoever. No signs of wear on the leather, if maybe slightly compressed earcup cushions. The headband can be a little tight feeling after a while; the earcups are just a touch small for my ears, so it can feel a bit of pressure after a while. Overall though, comfort is good, though I do wish they were slightly more cushioned and slightly larger earcups (likely a personal preference). I haven't used these in workouts so I can't comment on that, but they don't strike me as workout headphones anyway. For the features, these are pretty basic. Controls work okay, although you have to press the button in and forward to skip forward, in and backward to skip backward, etc. Sometimes this can be messed up and the volume is just turned up instead of the song skipped, which can be a bit annoying. Once you get the hang of it though, this occurs less. Holding the volume control button down activates your voice assistant of choice (in my case, Siri), which is a helpful feature. The headphones also beep periodically once they are low on battery; the obnoxious noise will convince you to charge pretty quick. The Bluetooth pairing is pretty reliable; NFC pairing didn't work very well in my experience, although I didn't use that feature much. Now for the microphone; since COVID I've been calling friends/family more, and these are practically unusable. The microphone gives some sort of feedback, echoing on the other end (I frequently got complaints about the caller hearing themselves echo on the line). As soon as I switch to other headphones, this stops; so this appeared to be the issue of these headphones. In general, aside from the mic echo, the sound quality is quite poor as well. Perhaps these were a faulty pair, but I'd look elsewhere if you want a quality mic.Battery life on these is incredible. I routinely leave them on and have no problem going several days.Overall these are great budget headphones for casual listening; however I'd steer clear if you are looking to also make calls with these in between listening to music.

Comfortable-ish, not creaky, skips A LOT (on aptX), voice calls weak
Update after many months. Just to add that you will have trouble using this for zoom and called. You always have to yell, and when you think it's the BT and book up the wire, the person says, it sounds better but it's even quieter! No change from 2 stars.Original review after a few daysPros:Construction, looks, design. No creaking noise. Not too tight but band keeps it secure on the head. I can lie down with them on and move my head around on the pillow with no ill effects. No opinion on battery yet. EDIT Battery seems great.Earpiece is very small for over the ear. Luckily I don't have large ears.Cons:My phone uses AptX HD but this still skips every 15 to 30 seconds. I can't see what codec is using because the bleeding Audio Technical android app doesn't apply to this model (or many models!) Perhaps because of Bt4.1? I wish I knew.I have not been able to find information or help on pairing to multiple devices. I think it's a lie. I connect to my phone, then it unpaired from my windows 10 laptop and when I paired it again (*there is no obvious way to turn pairing on - good luck!*) it unpaired with my phone.I was going to give it an extra star because the supplied voice call cable is perfect and works with power off and/or no battery for phone calls etc. And the sound is perfect, not like the voice call sound without the cable. But the lack of pairing is a deal breaker for me. YMMV============Update 1 after a week:I have not been able to find information or help on pairing to multiple devices. I think it's a lie. You just can't listen to anything like that.Question: Is ANY bt headphone better? I'm using a phone with aptX and playing MP3s. sigh.......=============Update 3 after 2 months:- Cannot connect it to my W10 laptop without deleting the device and pairing from scratch - every time.- I've fixed the Bt skipping - turn off "high quality" so the aptX indication goes away.- Battery is still great.- Bt fix (two bullets above) might have made Bt call quality better. I no longer worry about having the wire connected. So, still 2 stars. Just too confusing to pair and connect.

Good for the price
I really wanted to love these. And while I do like them and use them daily, I was a little disappointed with them. I've been using the Audio technica ATH-m40x headphones for years and adore them but I wanted lighter weight wireless headphones so I went with Audio Technica again with absolute confidence.I do love how much lighter they are. Wearing these for any length of time is no problem. I have smaller ears so they do work as an over-ear headphone for me as specified. The ear cushions are comfortable as well, though I could see how they might not fit as well on anyone with larger ears. The wireless function works great, and the battery lasts much longer than expected. I've walked into other rooms of the house and they've maintained clear sound so the bluetooth connection is great. The mic while using bluetooth isn't great, as it feels like I have to talk absurdly loud to be heard, especially if it's noisy around me, so sometimes I'm sure I come off as obnoxious. I really like that the cord has a mic included, and that it's a lot more manageable than the ones provided with the ATH-m40x headphones I have. These are clearly made more for everyday on the go wear and they work well for that.If you're looking for bass, Audio Technica isn't usually the brand to buy for that as the sound quality is more balanced. These are worse than the m40x for that as the bass is barely noticeable, even with sound adjustments through my phone or an app. If you listen to a lot of bass-heavy music, you're going to absolutely hate these. The part that disappointed me is that the sound quality isn't any better than my older headphones, and may even be a little worse. While I understand the other ones I have are supposed to be more for the studio, the cost difference between the two just doesn't support the quality. You're basically paying for the convenience of them being wireless.I gave them four stars because I do like them, despite my griping. They're comfortable, lightweight, the wireless function is super convenient as I tend to snag the cord on anything I pass, and the sound quality is on par with my older headphones, thus much better than many other brands. I also purchased them on sale for 40% off so it was an excellent deal.
