it is possible to install it in a drilling machine
This item is well made and of high quality. I got this chuck to install in a drill press. My drill press only accepts drills or cutters up to 16mm in diameter. My purpose is to clamp parts that are larger than 16mm in diameter. I clamped a 25mm uneven part and straightened it out. This chuck is indispensable if you do not have a lathe.

Quality Procuct at a Great Price!
I was able to put this to use right out of the package on an older Craftsman metal lathe. Positive engagement on the motor side and very quick change on the jaws and inserts. Very pleased with this product.

Chuck loosens during use. Would not recommend for serious wood turning projects.

Great quality, well made self-centering chuck
Is exactly as advertised. I would have given it a 5/5 if there were some instructions with it relating to reversing the jaws, aligning with the numbers etc. Otherwise a very good quality product.
