Not Korean, not 97% concentration of snail mucin, but still good
Korean skin care is all the rage these days, and easily found on Amazon. The thing is, Amazon listings don't make it easy to find out if a product is legit, so it's ripe for companies trying to ride the wave of hype to market products as they wish. This product is one that is misleading in several ways - but that doesn't mean it's a bad product.First, the packaging has no indication of where the product is made. If you look closely, it just says it's "made for Soo Snail Mucin" with an address in Palm Beach, FL. The Amazon listing says the country of origin is Republic of Korea, but every other K beauty product I've gotten says "Made in Korea" somewhere on the box - this does not. The Soo Snail Mucin website also provides no information on where the product is made and does not have a company address listed.Next, the box says it has "key ingredients from Korea," but doesn't identify which ingredients are actually from Korea. The company that sells this product is Digital Beauty Group, Llc., which also makes the SeoulCeuticals skincare brand. That brand is also listed as country of origin being Republic of Korea on Amazon, but the SeoulCeuticals website confirms their products are made in the USA. The website says their "product line is developed to follow Korean skincare philosophies, and we use Korean-sourced key ingredients." I have to believe the same applies to Soo Snail Mucin. Finally, it's called Soo Snail Mucin 97.5 Korean snail mucin, leading you to believe that's how much snail mucin is in the product like another leading Korean skincare brand, but snail mucin is actually in the middle of the ingredients list. If the Soo Snail Mucin box is correct and the concentration of niacinimide is 5% (which I am inclined to believe with niacinamide as the 5th ingredient), there must be less than 5% snail mucin in the serum - 97.5 just means that the snail mucin itself is 97.5% pure filtrate. Misleading advertising like this really rubs me the wrong way. That being said, it doesn't mean this product isn't good in it's own right. I used it every day for two weeks and will continue to use it.For one, it has a lot of ingredients (extracts) I don't see in other serums that I use - sea water, irish moss, panax ginseng, gotu kola, and dandelion. Some of those I've tried as oral supplements, but have not seen as much in skincare products. It's an interesting list and makes the product stand out in a crowded field, and easy to justify adding to your skincare routine. This serum is on the thicker side, a sticky, milky-ish substanc that surprisingly spreads well and absorbs quickly into my skin without feeling sticky a few minutes after application. My skin feels soft after using it, which is exactly what I want in a serum. It seems to leave a thin layer on my skin that feels sleek and protective. To be honest, I wasn't entirely upset by the snail mucin being a minor ingredient. It's something I am curious about, but nonetheless still a little grossed out by. This serum was nice for dipping my toes into the snail mucin world without feeling like I was plunging my face into a pit of live snails. I can save that for my next purchase.I think this serum is worth a try for anyone looking for something different in their skincare routine. It's got great staple ingredients that a lot of other products have, a few that really make it stand out, and is nicely moisturizing.

It's okay. Not a game changer
It spreads well enough. After the serum fully absorbs into your skin, any sort of stickiness and tackiness goes away. I use it under my moisturizer and I suppose it's adding extra hydration. I have had no negative reaction to it, but I'm not sure about any benefits compared to other serums I've tried.I think this product is okay if you want to try out some novel ingredients although it is a little expensive.

Skin type: dry to oily
So i use this product at least 2-3 times a week because of my skin type. It does feel sticky when applying but it dries out good into my skin. The only down side is the amount of product not really worth the price 😭 bottle does feel kinda empty.

This is a skincare powerhouse
I jumped on the snail mucin bandwagon some time ago and never looked back. I was very curious to try this product because its concentration of snail mucin (97.5%) is highly than what I've typically tried before (which was about 96%). Furthermore, this contains 5% niacinamide as well as hyaluronic acid. The size of the jar is 1fl oz. The product is dispensed via a dropper. The texture is a liquid-y gel and the color is off white. There is no fragrance.I am very impressed with how this product performs. I like it plumps my skin from within and fills it with a healthy glow. This serum can be used both in the morning and at night and layers with other products very well (no pilling issues). If mixed with moisturizer, it really takes it to the next level. This is a top quality K-beauty product and I'm really enjoying it. I definitely recommend it if you are looking to explore snail mucin or just want to improve the quality of your skin.

Snail slime...ewww!
I'm kind of up in the air about this. I have read a lot about the benefits snail mucin has for skin but it actually feels really weird. Well...to me I guess. It might not to you. I'm going to keep using it because it naturally has lots of nutrients for my skin that I don't see in other products. When I say it feels weird it feels like it is coating my skin and doesn't get absorbed the same way as other products. It feels better when I add another moisturizer over it which I have no idea if that might negate any of the benefits of either. On the other hand doing that might be compounding the benefits of both..when I think about it i think it's probably making both work better synergistically. I do like this stuff even though it feels strange.
