Lonely Planet New York City Map

A very useful map - and useful to have maps for getting round New York. It would be even better if it had the subway lines on it. Though some of the maps hotels give away have them on, and you can pick up a subway map from the subway. We used the Lonely Planet map the whole time we were there. It mostly covers Manhattan and we mostly stayed in Manhattan. As many people told us, New York is surprisingly walkable. Top tip in the Lonely Planet - probably taking the free Staten Island ferry so you can see the Statue of Liberty from the bay as you go past. You get off at the other end and wait for the next one back if you are not stopping at the Island.

Excellent clear map, easy t fold, has all the main sights marked, we marked some of our own, as well. You can get maps at hotels, not as good though and the best thing was we Studied it before we went so had a good idea of where things were and planned our trip . Highly recommend this map.

Excellent little map. We found ourselves using it as an all-encompassing guide by marking on the map details of places that we wanted to visit - we like to plan ahead and it saved us lugging the guidebook around with us.

Rubbish, I can see why people bought another type of map, I didn’t expect it to be 2 maps , I wanted a map of New York . Not south side on one side and north on the other, really disappointed. And when I go to returns to return it I keep getting the message. “ something went wrong”. It is now lining my cats litter box well done amazon.

It’s ok, and quite clear, but cuts NYC in half, so effectively two maps. As we were staying in midtown we constantly having to refer to both. Easier to cut it up and tape so you see the big picture!

Returned as didn't realise the same map was in the Lonely Planet book.

This looks like a good map. It is big enough to read but not too difficult to fold and hold. The upper section of Manhattan is on the left and the mid and lower on the right. The paper is tough and looks water resistant. Am happy with the product.

Not a bad product but you really dont need to buy a map for new york. There are are many free ones with as much detail freely available from hotels and guides.i bought it but didn't need to use it. new york is very easy to navigate
