Product Description Three in one: alarm clock, time-teaching tool, and nightlight. view larger Onaroo Teach Me Time! Talking Alarm Clock, Sleep Trainer and Nightlight Teach Me Time! features an interactive, talking time-teaching game designed to help school-aged children learn to tell time on both analog and digital clocks. The large, bright LCD display is capable of displaying the time in either format, or both at once. How does it work? First, ask your child to press the left toe button to display a random time on the analog portion of the display (digital time hidden). Next, press the right toe button to have Teach Me Time! speak the answer and display the correct time in digital format. The game is designed to create a dialogue between you and your child about time, keeping you involved in the learning process. The Teach Me Time! game is fully adjustable – five difficulty levels allow you to restrict which times are displayed (for example, just 'round' hours), so you can start simple and progress in difficulty as your son or daughter matures. Full manual override provides complete control of the game by the parent, if desired, allowing any specific time to be hand-entered. Features and benefits 'Grown-up' alarm clock For older children that want to get up on their own, Teach Me Time! is a fully functional alarm clock with snooze, just like mum and dad's! A fun 'ding-a-ling' bell sound takes the place of the more traditional 'beep-beep-beep', and when sounding, the left toe button snoozes for ten minutes and the right toe button silences the bell. A concealed parental control panel provides access to clock options and instructions, and the interchangeable LCD bezels (blue, pink, and yellow) provide options for any room decor. "Ok to Wake!" dual-colour nightlight timer The nightlight timer is easily programmed to turn on and off at any time of day. Parents can also customise an "Ok to Wake!" time (when the glow colour turns from yellow to green), an optional function. Battery- and/or mains-operated Teach Me Time! runs on AC power using the included adaptor. Time and alarm settings are retained automatically in the event of a power failure using two AAA batteries (not included). More flexible options Teach Me Time! includes three interchangeable coloured face plates (blue, pink, and yellow). Use the 'Display' button to show just the analog clock face, just the digital clock, or both at once (to help kids make the association). Rather good
These are the problems with this clock:* It won't work without AC power adapter. AA batteries are only used to save the time between reconnection to the power adapter. You won't see the time on the display, see the clock changing color or whatever.* The power cord is rather short. I had to get additional lead to place it where it should be.* The highlight of the time display is always on. You can change the brightness level from normal to high, but even then it works as the night light, which wasn't my intention at all.* It has the voice function, but it sounds like samples were recorded at the lowest quality possible, and it sounds rather scary.* Although the display supports 24h time mode, I didn't see any mention of it in the user manual or any way to set the time in 24h mode, so it shows the AM/PM sign instead, which isn't natural for me.Still, what was needed for me is the clock that could change color from 8AM to 9AM and signal that it's OK to wake up others during this time, and this time only. And it works.Does it worth GBP 49? Absolutely not.

This is great even now with my 5 & 7 year old for keeping them in bed. No one is allowed out until the light changes to green, the only reason it's not 5 stars is because the lead comes out easily which means you have to reset the time and the light to change when you've decided the children can get out of bed and also when you use batteries the light doesn't change at all which kind of defeats the purpose. Great otherwise though.

Brilliant - it really really does work - better than other 'bunny' brands
We bought this for son (5 years) who had graduated from a kiddisafe bunny clock. Our daughter has the grown up kiddisafe clock, which is good, but we looked at other brands as he didn't want the same as his sister. This clock is WAY WAY better.I love the fact we can set it to come yellow when it is OK to be awake and play in his room and then green when it is OK to come into us. With the bunny clock you only have an OK to be up settin and as he couldn't yet tell the time we couldn't say you can come into Mummy and Daddy at such and such a time.Son loves to press the foot and hear the clock tell the time.

The colour of 'yellow' is quite green so explaining that it will go green in the morning was not very easy as he said 'its green
This was really disappointing. I read endless reviews on sleep clocks and decided to give this one a go.. Its really cheaply made. The 'access panel' is the first thing kids want to play with and thus changing the time, alarm etc is inevitable. There is no parent lock. The colour of 'yellow' is quite green so explaining that it will go green in the morning was not very easy as he said 'its green now?'. The only thing we use if for really is night light and he likes watching the hand move and we can set a time when we will go up to check on him again by which time he has hopefully fallen asleep. The alarm sound is really annoying too, not at all what you want your child to wake up gently to. Our son loves having a 'big boy clock' but this is pretty bad.

Very disappointed
This looked like the perfect answer to the problem of having a toddler who wakes early and then leaves her bed to wake the rest of the household. It had amazing reviews from other purchasers, but maybe I had the misfortune to end up with a dud clock. Despite reading the instructions at length and numerous attempts I can not set the clock to change colour from yellow to green at the allotted hour to show my daughter it is time to get up. The alarm bell is terrifying. Even on the lowest setting the noise is loud and when it went off on the first morning it actually made my daughter cry and I mistook it for the smoke alarm. We haven't used the alarm bell since. Both my husband and I have tried repeatedly to reset it, reread the instructions but to no avail. I'd like to think we are both fairly intelligent individuals but this clock has alluded us. The only positive comment I can make is that it is a good (if rather expensive) night light and the display face with it's analogue and digital design is useful for teaching the time. So as my daughter can count and has good number recognition I have simply taught her what 7:00am looks like on the clock face and told her not to disturb Mummy and Daddy until that time. If anyone can enlighten us on how this wretched device works, I'd be very grateful. Until then, it remains the most disappointing purchase through Amazon to date!

Great teaching clock for kids
My kids (4 and 7) love this clock. Having it change colour when it's time to get up is great, plus the button that they can press to speak the time is perfect for the 4 year old who can't get read and understand the analogue or digital clock but understands the time when someone tells him. Easy to use from a parent perspective. This will grow with the children with the use of the alarm etc. If I had to make one criticism (being picky) I would just say that it would be better if you could distinguish the wake up time colour change for weekdays and weekends, rather than just one for all. But that is only because I'd like a bit more of a lie in at the weekend and I get told 'but the clock says it's wake up time' !!

so I'm not sure how useful that is
This is lovely. It is fairly bright, but I can sleep through it, whereas a charging toothbrush would keep me up all night. My daughter patiently waits for it to go green in the morning.I can't honestly say that it has helped her to tell the time though. The time functions isn't how you would speak either. So it would say '8.39', rather than '20 to nine', which is what you would say if asked, so I'm not sure how useful that is. The quality is good though, we have had it for 9 months, with absolutely no issues

It would be nice to hide the digital clock
Does a good job doubling as a night-light and clock. I can't comment on the sleep-training side, as we're lucky with that with our daughter (4) and bought it for the time-teaching and light. The clockface hands are a little small and not prominent enough, and our daughter tends to just look at the digital reading when she presses the foot for the time. If you could hide that, and have a bolder clock display, it would work better to teach time. It is helping her get an idea of how late we're running though! You can change the bezel colour but not that of the rings on the feet. Not bad overall and definitely better for slightly older children than the Gro-Clock I think.
