Just fantastic!
I have had one of these for about three years now and the only issue I’ve had with it was the SD card dying. But that’s what SD cards do.So I bit the bullet and got another two. They are a joy to install, even in places where you don’t have an outside light already. I ran a fused spur for them, that was probably the hardest part. The fact that you don’t have to pay monthly for these and that they will still run well after netatmo disappear is value in its self, but these are well priced knowing that they will last. They are 1080p so no special 4K but 1080p is the max Apple HomeKit will allow so it works nicely. The streaming quality can be a bit blocky as it’s using HLS but the videos are clear when viewing recoded footage. The looks are industrial and I really like that style and they go well with the netatmo door bell. They look expensive but in a “I will outlast you” sorta way.Do wish they had RTSP though. But they do record strait to a Nas box

SD card issues aside they are good cameras.
I have purchased 6 of these cameras now. I have returned 2 as they just didn't work - I realise now it was probably SD card issues, but I didn't know that at the time. The other 4 all gave problems with the cheap SD card they use. If you complain to Netatmo they send you another cheap SD card that probably won't work and some grease to waterproof the SD card slot.So when buying this camera just bite the bullet and purchase also....SanDisk 32GB MAX ENDURANCE microSDHC card for IP cams & dash cams + SD adapter up to 15,000 Hours Full HD / 4K videos up to 100 MB/s UHS-I Class 10 U3 V30Prounol 100% Silicone Grease, General-Purpose Dielectric Paste, Waterproof HT Rubber Grease (100ml)And replace the SD card before using the camera (format it to Fat32 on your computer first). You will also need very good WiFi near the camera - they don't like poor signal. These cameras are too expensive for the cheap SD card to be acceptable, but if you want excellent security cameras then they are worth the hassle. Once the SD cards are replaced they seem to give no further trouble. There are also no monthly bills so the cost is not that much over a few years of use.

Failed to capture my car being broken into at night
The media could not be loaded. So, call it bad luck, but this expensive 'top of the range' camera failed to capture my car being broken into last night. The video attached is my neighbours camera a few minutes after the guy has got out of my car.I've tried to contact support by email and by telephone (to a US number), but have been in a queue for over an hour and gave up. Hoping an underwhelming review might prompt the seller to reach out.The camera has built in motion zones, which also controls the floodlight. I had these setup to cover the driveway of me and my neighbour, due to increased activity at night.Unfortunately, the motion zones also have AI filters for people, animals, cars and other motion. With people and other motion selected, it looks like for whatever reason the floodlight was not activated.Secondly, no motion was recorded. I have a lot of night cats, and passing vehicles, but not the actual guy who broke into my car.I suspect the guy must have had some kind of signal jammer in there, which knocked off the internet connection - and therefore it couldn't figure out of the motion was worth floodlight/recording.So... revert to the built in SD card. No FAQs or guidance on this online, so I popped to Argos to get an adapter to plug this into my computer. Doesn't work - its an encrypted card, so you cannot access the recordings unless it is through the interface. Seemingly pointless, as was hoping it recorded the activity - but had failed to upload. (Perhaps it did, I will never known).I did manage to download the 24 hour snapshot, which shows a person within the defined motion zones through the night. So even more unimpressed that the recording or floodlight didn't kick in. This is probably 5 to 6 metres away from the camera, so suspect only useful for someone kicking your front door in (and if the camera is at the front door)....In summary - if you want a security camera to notify you when people are breaking into your property, and record it, look elsewhere. This camera looks good, but functionality as a security device, it is not.

Simple to set up, future proof and doesn’t kill your internet connection!
Great product, works as expected. Saves clips locally rather than constantly uploading to the cloud, has good AI detection to stop notifications when the sun comes out or the wind blows the trees etc. Night vision is good and the app works well, integration with HomeKit is great too (didn’t have to set up WiFi network etc).Would be nice if the field of view was improved, and the camera could probably be updated easily enough if they make a new version.Price may be higher than competitors, but it’s worth factoring in subscription costs, quality and privacy.

Camera excellent but weak siren
Camera integrated easily and works fine but found the siren to be weak so tested it with a dB meter only to find it is emitting only an 80-85dB sound on activation, not 105dB as advertised. Hoping this is a faulty unit and have thus requested a replacement from Amazon. I had contacted Netatmo support regarding the Siren weakness and given no response after a few days requested the replacement via Amazon. Hopefully its replacement will have a 105dB siren. Replacement arrived, new one using professional calibrated dB meter averages at 93dB A weighted and peaks at 103dB so better but not as advertised
