Super tasty
I really love the taste of these black Turkish olives. The taste reminds me of Black Raisin olives I had in Greece. They have a high oil content and a rich bitter, slightly liquorice type flavour. Very moreish! They come vacuum packed and are available in various sizes ranging from 250g to 3kg. They do contain stones but since the olives are really soft the stones can easily be removed. I decanted the olives into an airtight container but I doubt they'll last long. I would have preferred if the salt used was sea salt. The olives also contain acidity regulators, preservatives and firming agents.

Rich, tasty, thick fleshy olives
I recently tried pitted olives from the Dorri brand and was very impressed- and these have the same positives. They are generously fleshy, rather than just a little bit of olive flesh hanging around large stones. They are really satisfying to bite, and they have a lovely rich flavour, absolutely perfect for pairing with wine and cheese for a very posh buffet. They aren’t either bitter or anaemic, as some supermarket-bought olives can be. If I were served a dish of these olives at a tapas bar for example, I’d be commenting on how nice they are. They don’t need to be drenched in oil or seasoned to be palatable, they are absolutely ready-to-eat once drained. The packaging seems a little unorthodox at first, a double-lined plastic bag which feels like it was in danger of splitting in transit, but the plastic is strong so the bag we received was OK. It’s a catering-style approach that doesn’t look very smart and doesn’t reseal very well, so you definitely need to move the olives into a more long-term container when you open the bag- unless you’re planning to eat them all at once, which with a 250g bag and a big family, is quite tempting and not that implausible. But it’s better to savour them in small doses I reckon. We got a 250g bag, and the price on that is a little steep- but the value by weight increases substantially if you buy a bigger bag, with a 3Kg bag currently being almost four times better value, with the prices at time of writing. There are cheaper ways to get olives, but the quality of these make them worthwhile.

Deep flavour
The first olive I ate deceived me a little as it was quite mild but the next one took me by surprise a little. I was going to describe it as a strong taste but I think deep is more accurate. There's a slight saltiness, bitterness and sweetness all rolled up. If you like olives you'll enjoy these, I did.The bag is resealable so really handy if like me you just enjoy having a few occasionally.Although these olives have the stone it slides out very easily with a push of the tongue, they're not rubbery. They're a little more fiddly when used with cooking but even then not that much of a hassle.I've eaten these straight out of the bag and also used them with pasta. As the flavour is quite deep you don't need many, I've added to tomato based pasta sauces and also just chopped a few up to mix with pasta and a drizzle of olive oil, simple but effective.

Beautiful black olives
These olives are simply delicious. The quality, taste and texture of the olives are all outstanding. They are really "meaty" in texture with a stunning balance of saltines and bitterness that sets them apart from other black olives. They are also not overly preserved if you know what i mean, so they have a delicious juiciness that is very moreish and addictive. They are very hard to stop eating! Yet another stunning product from Dorri, who are quiklly becoming one of my favourite food suppliers! Brilliant!

No from me
Very salty and bitter. Comes in a pouch and olives themselves vere oily and good quality. Sadly taste was not great at all. Some were a bit slimy and mushy. I tried to like these but on their own they were just too much. Ended up adding them to different recipes to use up and that worked well.

Great natural flavour
Delicious olives sealed in a bag with minimal liquid so they haven't absorbed lots of oil or brine as the jar or tinned type do and as such are more natural.Great flavour and texture and I'm fine the them being unpitted, though it does add a little hassle if your cooking with them. These are perfect as a nice snack to have with a glass of wine or beer

Delicious, quality olives
These are very juicy and oily, with a lovely flavour and texture. They’re slightly bitter and saltier than some, which I like. The stones can be a pain but the compensation is better-tasting olives than the pitted variety, just as with whole vs. prepared fruit from supermarkets. The tough, resealable bag is welcome and should keep them fresh for a week or two after opening. They’re not cheap but are probably worth the price, especially since delivery is included.
