JJ International Korean Sweet and Spicy Red Chili Sauce, Gochujang Wing Sauce (260ml)

I had several Korean recipes that I wanted to try and they called for this ingredient. Couldn't find it in the grocery store so I ordered it. Have used it in my recipes and it is delicious.

Sweet, spicy and sticky. Just the way we like it

This sauce is nice and spicy without being too hot and because of its flavor profile can be used in a variety of dishes. This isn't just for chicken wings as the title may lead you to believe. This goes well with beef, pork and vegetables as well. Anything that you may want to add a sweet spicy flavor to. The bottle contains quite a bit so it should last me for a while!

Okay, I have had real Go-Chu-Jang (Red Chili Sauce) and this is nothing close to that. For fusion style, some might enjoy but if you are looking for a real Korean style, this wouldn't be the choice. 2 stars is enough for the price

I'm always on the lookout for new sauces, especially when they combine sweet and spicy. I've tried a few red chili sauces and they're good, but I honestly wasn't expecting anything revolutionary here. I'm so glad I was wrong! This stuff is super tasty! Bold, strong flavor with a bit of heat, but not enough to cause discomfort. Texture is thick and sticky, which is a welcome change from other runnier chili sauces I've tried. Found myself digging around the fridge for stuff to eat just so I could put this on more stuff. I haven't tried cooking with it, but it's great to just throw on when serving.I was temporarily thwarted by the cap with no idea how to open it. There's a little pull tab you need to remove (pictured), then it's a nice flip cap. Overall, very happy to have this in my sauce arsenal and looking forward to many happy meals together!

Bottle looks relatively small, but actually has a fair amount and is easy to use to squeeze out. I find myself choosing to use this one a lot for making an easy bibimbap - just add as much as you want of this sauce to taste, a little sesame oil, mix into the rice, and you have yourself a very tasty easy dinner. It is very tasty, sweet and not too spicy. Very buildable spice.

I just could not get into the flavor of this particular sauce. I'm sure that it's something people out there would like, but for me personally I just wasn't a fan. The taste is really hard to describe, but it almost had a fishy or bean-like flavor to it? I like myself a lot of sweet and spicy sauces which is why I thought to try this one, but I'm going to have to give this one a pass in the future.
