Not an instant hijab as title claims. Instant hijabs already have the head shape sewn in, this is just a rectangle piece of fabric.

I ordered this for travel to a country where wearing hijab is expected in public. Unfortunately it took so long to arrive that I was unable to take it on my trip, so I could not evaluate it there. But now that I am back home I see that it is really - just a scarf. There is nothing different between this and a regular scarf, so if you think you need a special garment for hijab it is likely that you have something suitable in your closet already. Having said that, the type of fabric does make it easy for the scarf to stay in place over your hair. The color that I ordered, rose, was a bit of a disappointment - I expected it to have at least a pink undertone. But it is just a very neutral beige really. In a way that is good because it will make it match with many different outfits, but a rose undertone would have been nice to keep from washing out my skin tone.

I got this head scarf to wear while traveling in Muslim countries so I don't have a lot of experience with head scarves. But, this one is a light weight, slightly stretchy material that is incredibly soft. Length is enough that I can easily drape it over my head and and wrap the end around my neck to secure it in place. I chose the grey color and it's a nice neutral color that will complement a lot of different outfits without being to flashy. This would also work as just a neck scarf for the winter. It's stylish enough that you could wear it indoors as well. Overall I really recommend this scarf!
