Calmol 4 Hemorrhoidal Suppositories - 24 Ea

Would like better wording as my gi doc offered extensively for non hemmeroid problems.

i use a spray emu oil product to spray on the tip of these after i have wiped with PrepH witch hazel wipes. this allows for easy insertion. research emu oil for vaginal/anal issues. sometimes if the BM was unpleasant when i am in the middle of a flare up i use the PrepH wipes several times to blot. i wait a few hours for the area to calm down and then use the emu oil on the tip of these to insert. the package says to use up to 6 per day. wow that is a lot for an area in the midst of a flare up. i have used one at night and one in the day and have noticed a major improvement with pain and shrinkage and no more bleeding. i deal with flareups of pregnancy issues every now and again. sitz baths with epsom salt also help. all these things i am mentioning have "natural" ingredients so feel that i am not harming myself with harsher products. i am extremely sensitive to almost everything and am shocked my bum area can tolerate these 3 things i am mentioning. here. for my case, however, less is more and i do not deal with the area after BMs unless a general calm has taken over after the PrepH wipes

i was having hemorrhoid problems for several month after a c-section. i kept using the prep h suppositories but they really only gave temporary relief an melt so quickly that a short time after you'll just end up running to the bathroom to pass the coconut oil. i finally looked for something different and using the calmol things got better within about a week! they are cocoa butter not oil, so somewhat thicker and don't melt as quickly. you don't just pass it all after a few minutes, it actually remains in till a bowel movement. since the active ingredient is also different i believe both of those factors are what made a big difference for me.

Good product

Before I had hemorrhoid surgery, I was in agony... Going to the bathroom was nothing short of painful. I had fissures and hemorrhoids; you name it, I had it. After visiting my proctologist and telling her I was using another product to help me, she quickly stated to try Calmol. Now I must tell you, the Calmol did not shrink my hemorrhoids in any way. They just soothed and lubricated the area, especially the fissures, which made going to bathroom so much easier.They are each individually wrapped and quite easy to insert. It was a welcome relief to use these after countless times crying when going to the bathroom. I still keep these on hand when I need them. Fortunately, I had surgery and am much better. But still when necessary, the Calmol is the first thing I reach for when I need relief.I highly recommend these.

This has helped me with burning and pain. Each one of us is different and have different kind of problems. This is the only hemorrhoid medication of all I have purchased that I can make this statement. Runnerup is Dr. Butler product.

Calmol 4 are the best suppositories for any swelling inside your bum. Doctor recommended for me. Thank goodness for Amazon delivery. Good luck trying to get these retail at Walgreens or CVS. Also, these are FSA eligible in the USA.

Like some others I went to this product when Tucks disappeared from the marketplace as did Annusol before them. The Calmol do the job. I was convinced for years that these products were all superior to Prep. H but also tried them again recently and for hemmoroids they work fine at less cost. Tronolane Cream is excellant also for external irritation.The suppositories seem to be a tricky product to ship and mine were sent in a mailer which was partially crushed in transit. The product was not damaged but could have been. Mine came from KINGSRX through Amazon and they were very good about this upon seeing my packaging review. I would suggest if possible contacting any seller before purchase to see if product can be sent in a box rather then paper mailer. If not be sure of the return policy.
