A powerful little device worth every penny! I learned of this device after researching the best TENS units at WireCutter.com. It's not only a powerful muscle stimulator, but it's easy to operate, Recharging is quick and, although the unit is new, it's long lasting on one charge. It seems to go for hours and hours of use.I bought this unit to help "release" stubbornly tense muscles in my upper arms, shoulders, neck and upper back that cause continuous pain and/or discomfort. By experimenting with the placement of the electrodes, I've been able to easily zero in on the appropriate areas for placement in order to maximize the stimulation of specific muscles or areas of muscles.Let me be honest: the electro-stimulation is not all fun-and-games. It can be a bit uncomfortable at times (usually toward the beginning of the session targeting a specific set of muscles) and periodically borders on being slightly painful for a few minutes. However, that's why the +/- keys are present on the device and these permit the stimulation to be quickly and easily controlled. I bought this unit because I recently tore a tendon in my hip and also have osteoarthritis in my lower back. In researching TENS units online I was surprised by how affordable many units were and that many seemed to have favorable reviews. I purchased the Tech Care Plus 24 unit as a result of reading an extensive review by a professional reviewer who had chosen three models, one each in Economy, Mid-Price, and Premium price ranges. His reviews of these three models were very detailed and his summary of features, pros, and cons was very well done. Since this was my initial foray into the TENS world I did not want to spend a lot of money on a product that I was a little skeptical of.I purchased the Tech Care Plus 24 for approximately $ 36. When received it I was pleasantly surprised by how well made it was and the quality of the materials. It has 24 different modes, 4 each in 6 different categories. As instructed, I read the instruction manual thoroughly before using and, again, was pleasantly surprised that it was easy to use. Other than the on/off switch there are only four buttons on the front of the unit and it doesn't take long to learn how to use them. The electrode pads were easy to attach and , so far, I have had a week's worth of use from the initial pair and still going strong. There is no need to apply additional gel to the pads. The instruction manual will explain how to get the longest life from them. To date I have tried 21 of the 24 modes. I am making notes about my experience with each mode and will probably stick to using 6 - 10 of the modes regularly after I finish trying all 24. Since I started using this unit I have eliminated the pain in my hip from the torn tendon. I think rest and limiting my physical activity have been major factors in my recovery, but I also think the TENS sessions have definitely helped. I use the machine 3 times a day. The unit is slightly larger than a deck of playing cards so it is very portable, yet it delivers all the electrical stimulation you could ask for in a variety of modes. I have only used 2 pads (1 wire) at a time but this unit allows the use of 4 pads (2 wires) simultaneously. My unit came with the TENS unit, 2 sets of wires, 6 snap on pads, a belt clip, a pad holder, and an instruction manual. It also has a rechargeable lithium battery that seems to last a long time between charges. I have use it 3 times per day for a week and still have all bars on the screen. Speaking of which, the screen is very easy to read and navigate, and it is back lit for low light situations. This seems to be a substantial, well built, and quality device. I am very happy with it and think it is a good value. It also has a very good warranty.

I should have bought one of these years ago but now the price makes it crazy NOT to have one. I have had chronic lower back issues and multiple visits to therapy where they use the bulky Tens units. This handheld unit has ALL THE SAME POWER. It’s features are very similar as well. 24 different modes and intensity levels from the minimal to the extreme. I had pain relief instantly after use and it only gets better after each use. The pads are perfect and remain sticky enough for multiple uses as long as you use the included pad holder for storage between uses. I’ve done about 10 sessions in 2 days and the pads are still sticky enough to adhere to my lower back. I was worried about buying more pads often so this will not be the case with this package.The controller is easy for anyone to use. Not a ton of buttons to get lost on. Pretty straightforward. Has 6 different techniques with 4 differing modes within each technique to choose from just by pressing the mode button numerous times to make your preferred treatment. Then set your own time in increments of 10 minutes per session. I’m truly spoiled with how strong you can set the intensity on this tiny little unit! You can raise it to an uncomfortable level if you want, it’s your choice! The unit recharges with ease via a USB cord and holds a great charge. It has an easy to read battery indicator. Who knew such powerful therapy could come from a rechargeable battery operated unit like this? If I did I would’ve bought it LONG AGO!Don’t fear because this thing will change your rehabilitative regimen.
