Excellent product that really works
I've used Vitamin C as a supplement for thirty years and have always reopened on it to help keep my health in top condition. This product is a loose powder (bulk) in a plastic/foil bad with a zip closure. It just doesn't get simpler than this. Its easy to use and I can scoop the exact amount of Vitamin C and put it into a fresh veggie/fruit juice I make at home. In the summer I use 5 grams a day and in the winter I bring it up to 8 or 10 grams a day depending on how sick everyone else is around me. It takes time to build up tolerance to these levels so take it slowly, please, and since the bowel tolerance is discussed ad nauseum on the net I'll not rehash it here. More importantly is that when I received it I realize that I could use this product for an entry new purpose and this is really the focal point of this review. The city I live in had changed the water treatment from Chlorine to Chloramine (a combination of chlorine and ammonia) years ago. I previous had chlorine filters so that the toxic chemical would not bother me but chorine is a very small molecule and chlorine filters just don't filter it out at all. I started noticing dryness and itching all over my skin even though I drink lots of water every dat and take fish oil supplements every day. No water purification system on the market would take out the cloramine except the super expensive ones that are just not affordable at this time. Then it dawned on me that I had read articles about people in Japan and San Francisco using Vitamin C to treat their water. I did my research and found that chloramine is alkaline (a base) and Vitamin C is an acid. If you add an acid to a base, it gets neutralized and becomes inert. Most acids are hazardous to humans but Vitamin C is safe, and necessary, for us. I guess I could have tried an experiment to try vinegar but then I would smell worse wen I got out of the tub so I didn't try that. I did try a quarter teaspoon of this purse acerbic acid (Vitamin C) in my batch water, bathed in it every dat for the past several weeks and I have had no problem with the chloramine irritating me at all. This is a great solution because Bulk Supplements on Amazon is the only place where I can get large bags of vitamin C powder so I can sprinkle in exactly how much I need, and no more and its so much less expensive this way. Its the perfect solution for me. There is no fragrance although when I first pour the vitamin c into the hot water, a tiny amount does fly away and I can smell/taste a little but its a refreshing citrus taste that is barely noticeable and is rather pleasant, so its just not a problem. I'm now highly recommending this product to everyone and have added it to my permanent reorder list.

Has Multiple Uses. Dissolves Easily In Warm Water
I am definitely going to be buying from this company again. This stuff is awesome and serves multiple purposes, used for skin mixed with glycerin some even add it skin cream, Aloe Vera gel to use for skin and hair, put a little bit it in hair conditioner and shampoo, I have a friend who does this with vitamin C oil. I am a tartness freak I added a bit to some lemon aid it dissolved easily and tasted good. Yes this is weird I know there are actually people who use this to remove hair dye I thought they were kidding me but it worked. I am new to this never used the powdered version before and look forward to trying the many uses of it. DISSOLVING it this is easily done with hot tap or very warm water Acne and oily skin Freaking awesome I mixed some of this with liquid body soap and have been washing my face with it it killed the acne removed the heavy build up of oil and cleared my skin, plus the way it cleaned my pores it was like I had used a facial mask, hehehe acne got it's butt kicked smiles evilly. I used the same mix in the shower makes an excellent body cleanser as well. I know this is weird I used it like toothpaste it stripped the plaque right off, I wouldn't do it all the time because of the acid Hair dye remover Holy crap it actually works, I was told mixing vitamin C with shampoo removes hair dye I tried an experiment after cutting my hair I made a swatch mixed equal amounts of the vitamin powder with shampoo made a mix with the same thickness as hair conditioner. I coated the swatch with it put it in a plastic cap covered and left it sit for a while. about half an hour later I came back and it had removed a good amount of the dye. It will not remove heavy layers of dye with one time but it removes a decent amount, NOTE it does dry hair out but conditioner fixes that. Then if you want afterward you can use [Color Oops] hair dye remover Update April 28 2015. toe nail fungus I had a toe nail turned milk white which means a foot fungus in some cases the accompanying stench is most foul, I tried an experiment I put 2 table spoons of the powder in hot tap water in a foot basin soaked my feet for about 1 hour. later after done soaking I dried them off and noticed the white color had faded a lot by the following day the nail was clearer. Salt can also added with the Vitamin C powder with no problem. Afterward I did put pure lemon oil on the nail to help keep it sterelized and clear lemon acts like a bleach it fades freckles so I knew it'd help this

If you need help, these products.....WORK!
First of all, let's take a moment and wait for all the amazing, well meaning hippies and planet earth enthusiasts to leave this review section. Go on, I'll wait tilI I hear your birkenstocks clop clop clop down the hallway before I begin. Heaven forbid anyone of them buy a product that isn't made from 100% organic and blessed by New Zealand made vegetarian duck farts. Yes this product comes from China, so by default everything is evil and cruel in the world and toxic and we're going to give ourselves cancer because it's not double certified and and kosher blessed by a rabbi's fart to boot. Wanting to use this product wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with the logic in seeing 10K plus positive reviews stating how these products have helped people (rolls eyes). Now that it's just you and I, I'll continue. I'm here because I was searching for amino acids to buy in bulk without fillers. I wanted something priced fair and pure. After all my searching, Bulk Supplements had the ideal products. The only thing that was left for me to do was scan through all the reviews to see if such products would help me. I have a connective tissue disorder so I made it a point to buy all the aminos that had an effect in regards to tissues of the body. I also bought Glutamine as I read that helped people with their SEVERE bread/wheat/carbohydrate cravings as I have severe bread cravings for that and dairy. I work out often and can never lost the extra 25 pounds because of my food addiction to wheat and dairy. After one day I felt a difference so noticeable I logged in and bought the other remaining 4 amino Acids I needed but did not buy before do to not wanting to spend so much. But since they work and it seems most of these will last 6 months to a year, I opened the floodgates and bought everyone that was unique to me. I ended up buying about 8 products on my first purchase 6 weeks ago. Coming from someone who has tried adding coconut oil, vitamins, probiotics, nothing ever seemed to make much of a difference. It wasn't until I started taking amino acids that everything moved forward for me in my health goals. THIS......STUFF.......WORKS! I also have chronic fatigue syndrome and I'm seeing progress in my energy and health. I want to add that I also bought the Potassium citrate. I can't EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW MUCH THAT ALSO HELPED ME! I work out every other day and I use the sauna for about 40 minutes. In conjunction with taking aminos and now getting about 5K (4700 the average, but I workout hard) mg of potassium citrate, I'm feeling so much better! Even in my workouts I had to increase the weight by about 20 percent on the machines I use, and I even had to add more reps onto my sets! My original workout felt like I never even worked out since taking these products! Now even with added weight and reps onto my workout regimen, I still feel like I didn't quite workout enough! But I keep my increases minimal as I don't want to go ahead to much. But I can't flipping believe how much these products have boosted what I can do in the weight room AND not feel like a gassed race horse when I'm done. This stuff is literally the MAGIC powder. And with how its helping me with regular health outside of working out and also keeping me from falling off on binge eating on pizza and ice cream, this stuff is it. I'll always be a consumer of these products. Since I already ordered 3 times from this company (LOL) in the last 6 weeks, I got three free sample products to try that I WOULD NOT NORMALLY BUY! But since they also helped, I ended up adding them onto my next order! And to those people that complained about getting the free samples being just a marketing ploy and other nonsense, BUGGER OFF! There are products I wouldn't have bothered to try but since I got to try them for free and I liked them, I added them onto my next purchase. Because they worked for ME. You're getting a product that could very well last for a month and free shipping, all you have to do is leave a review if you like it or not. Yes, what a scam bulk supplements is running (rolls eyes). As of now there are two other products I plan on ordering from them, the Melatonin and the BCAA 3-1-2 product. Again, I'm only doing this because of how much positive gains I'm seeing in my health and workout. Another bonus was I could never eat enough meat, I was always hungry for tuna, turkey, beef, I could never get enough and my grocery bill was always high. Now I can eat a normal serving of meat and I feel like I don't need anymore thanks to taking the Acetylcarnitine and the Creatine, components that are found in muscle tissue. How I take my supplements is as follows- I take one serving size amount of each one in the morning. Then in the evening I take one serving size of only the msm, ascorbic acid, acetyl carnitine, Arginine, L-Glutamine, D-Ribose, potassium citrate. I take this because of budget, I want what I have to last longer, but these products are most important in keeping my cravings at bay so I take them once more at night. You can take some of these 3 times a day it says, but I only do them all once, and what I just listed twice. If I was rich and could afford $300 in supplements every 2-3 months I'd take them 3 times day. But since I'm not I make them last :) In summary, what I take is what I feel my body needs. And I am 100% happy with the effects I have experienced. And as for odors like some people described when they open their packages, well.........Some of these are chemicals, aren't they? MSM will smell like a sulphur like smell, correct? Unless you want added scents to mask things (which I don't) I honestly have not had a problem with that. And for the foil cosing bag, what I did was go to Walmart and buy a package of the large sized mason jars and I use those to hold my amino's in. I can't see knocking off a star because of the foil bag seal. Just pour it in a wide mouth mason jar and get a measure spoon to dish it out. If you're wondering what products I've used with this company, if you're reading this review then this is the product I purchased and have in my pantry. I'm not rewriting a review for each item, so I am copying and pasting a review to use on every item I bought from them. Any other questions please ask, but I find that as a person with health issues and food issues these items have helped me beyond anything else I've ever tried. Why no voting buttons? We don't let customers vote on their own reviews, so the voting buttons appear only when you look at reviews submitted by others. Permalink

Very happy with it Lp(a) reading 4
It is pure, it mixes easily, and is priced right. There are 1000 1/4 tsp servings, so it is going to last a while! The package is resealable, and I can use it right out of the original package. Update, 7/28/15. I love this product. I am taking 9 to 12 grams a day. I have read that your sticky blood LDL particles, specifically Lp(a) should be under a reading of 22. Otherwise you might need to take more vitamin C and lysine to lower it. My reading is 4, so I am very pleased. It may not be the vitamin C, that has put it in the healthy range, but I bet it is Update 8/6/15. I had a deep knife wound and several injuries to hy hands, one of which could have used stitches. I used a band aid to pull it together and later in the day saw a doctor for a minor surgery. He made over a two inch incision and had his nurse call in an rx for an antibiotic for me. I don't like to take antibiotics, most I can't take as they make me sick. Especially the new ones that change blood chemistry. But since I had so many injuries, I did pick up the rx and am keeping it on hand in case I see any signs of infection. So far, healing is rapid, and swelling is going down. I think with the high dose of vitamin C that I take, I will not need an antibiotic. I also used coconut oil on all the cuts. Now think about this. There are a lot of antibiotic resistant germs around today, especially in hospitals. So your own body can kill them ok, if you have a high level of vitamin C. So what is healthier, C or antibiotics. I would say C. Also, about doctors calling Linus Pauling a quack. He was a scientist who only said what he or others have proven. He won two Nobel prizes. What have his detractors won? Nothing. If someone says studies have shown vitamin C does not work, read the study yourself and do the math yourself. People tend to be inaccurate about the facts.

Great for swimmers
I mix this powder in with my shampoo to use after swimming. Vitamin C neutralizes the chlorine smell and helps prevent being itchy from over exposure to chlorine. On my complaint is it can leave its own smell and Iโm not a huge fan of it. However, the smell is better than chlorine so Iโll take it

Pure Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) Powder 500g
I've wanted to try a vitamin C facial serum for a long time, but the ones I've found were so expensive. I found a recipe to make your own that wouldn't cost an arm & a leg. I also read that you need to use the "ultra fine" powder, so I ordered this & received it today. I have already made my first batch & it turned out great! You DO have to dissolve your C powder in water first before adding your glycerine & it took less than a minute of stirring for it to completely dissolve. I've already tried it out & there was absolutely no grainy feeling at all, so I'm very pleased with this! I'm also going to be adding some to my smoothies as well for the added health benefits. I will add the recipe below for the ladies who want to save a lot of money & make their own serum. I received this product on the date promised & it was carefully packed very well. I would definitely recommend this company & this to anyone wanting to make their own & save tons of money! This bag will last me forever because you use to little. Vitamin C Facial Serum Start out with a 5% & gradually move up to a higher strength. You might feel a stinging at first, but if it's to bad, just lessen the amount of vit. C until you get adjusted to it. Ingredients: 5% Serum 1/4 tsp. powder 4 tsp. distilled water 3/4 tsp. glycerin 10% Serum 1/4 tsp. powder 2 tsp. distilled water 1/4 tsp. glycerin 15% Serum 3/8 tsp. powder 2 tsp. distilled water 1/8 tsp. glycerin 20 % Serum 1/4 tsp. powder 3/4 tsp distilled water 1/4 tsp. glycerin Mix your C powder into the water until it dissolves. Then add your glycerine. (personally I only added half the amount of glycerine & used aloe vera gel for the rest) And that's it! Quick & easy! This will only keep for a week as any longer will cause it to oxidize, so you need to make a small batch each week. It needs to be stored in a dark bottle & away from light or heat. I'm keeping mine in the refrigerator, but you can store it in a drawer too. Sterilize your bottle first. And should you notice your serum has turned yellow, that means it has oxidized & is no longer productive. Even if it does, this powder cost so little & will make SO much that it's no big deal to make another quick batch! I will definitely by buying more bulk products from them, as it's so much cheaper & you get a good quality product!

Great for immune system, adrenal function, skin, and joints
This ascorbic acid has helped heal my fatigued adrenal glands. I take 1 gram (1,000 mg.) three times a day with meals. My adrenal glands are healing nicely with this. Of course I take this ascorbic acid along with other supplements I purchased on Amazon (pantothenic acid, magnesium, rhodiola, ashwaghanda, licorice, Tulsi, burdock, etc) as part of a comprehensive adrenal fatigue healing program. The adrenal glands use a large amount of the body's vitamin C, especially during times of stress. It is wise to give your body extra C as humans cannot manufacture it in our body, unlike most animals. Also, adrenal glands are integral to a healthy, functioning immune system. Ascorbic acid is water soluble and excess will be excreted by the body. To be absorbed optimally and not cause GI distress, it is best taken with meals, preferably in divided doses. This product comes in a heavy duty Mylar bag to protect it from moisture, light, and air. It is best to transfer a smaller amount upon receipt to a light-resistant bottle to protect freshness and prevent oxidation. Vitamin C is also necessary for collagen production in the body. It can help your body repair and maintain collagen in joints & connective tissue. In addition to taking this vitamin C orally, I also apply it once a day topically to my face, neck, and chest as an anti-aging/wrinkle and brightening serum. I make a 20 percent solution to use as a topical face serum to maintain facial collagen. This solution is kept in an amber or blue bottle with dropper to protect from UV light degradation. There is much information on the web on creating your own do-it-yourself cosmetics, if you are interested. During adult years, approximately 1 percent of facial collagen is lost per year unless steps are taken to maintain it. Ascorbic acid is a potent collagen re-builder, antioxidant, and suppresses excess melanin causing pigmentation, effectively "brightening" the skin. Making my own serum saves me appropriately $150/bottle or $600/year. Using oral and topical vitamin C definitely keeps skin looking younger, and is a very cost-effective anti-aging measure. I am happy with this purchase, product, and seller. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I write reviews in appreciation for the reviews other honest reviewers have written which have helped me in deciding which product to purchase on Amazon.
