Cuts a neat recess for the back box
Creates a very accurate recess for the back box to sit in. I used it on full-load concrete blocks. Some older bricks from 70 years are like iron, so I guess there are limitations. Expensive but creates a neat job.

OMG best buy ever!!
I am doing some DIY in the living room and to say I am not the most gifted would be somewhat of an understatement, I am at best a very enthusiastic amateur.I have added a load of socket into the lounge to get rid of all the extension leads whilst we are re-decorating the lounge. the first four back boxes I cut into the wall were not level one was so deep the electrician thought I was going into next door. The boxes were the wrong size so the Electrician had to chisel out to make good etc. When I saw this kit I thought I have nothing to Loose and bought it to give it a go. It was amazingly simple to use I did the job in half the time with less mess. all the boxes are level and lined up. The back boxes actually fit in the holes made. This is one of the best buys I have ever made unlike some other DIY products that looked great and in practice did not work half as well, This product was awesome and so easy to use.In fact I am now so impressed with my new found DIY prowess I may even attempt to put up a shelf :)

Time saver and quality
I know this kit appears expensive compared to cheaper versions/items on large building supplier websites. But believe me this is quality. I am renovating a house and will be moving again and renovating that house so I will get my monies worth. If planning on sinking several boxes this will make life so easy and quick as well as saving your hands and fingers if using a bolster!!! Just to make you waware that it dies generate a large amount of dust so have vacuum and dust sheets at hand.

beware of the brick work
This is a good piece of kit with the right type of brickwork. Unfortunately the brickwork i presented it with was too tough for it. Old house with old brickwork. got their eventually after more hard work than i was anticipating. If I had modern brickwork or concrete blocks it would have been a 'doddle'. Wanted 3 sockets settled for one.

Great tool very good quality
This pattress cutter is not cheap but it is worth every penny, my property is of wimpy no fines poured reinforced concrete, the wall are extremely difficult to drill, thus tool did the job even smashing it way through the large bits of flint in the concrete. Life saver.

Damaged tri cutter.
Item arrived used condition but cosmetic damage acceptable, when opened I found the spigot guide was snapped off which means it will not hold centre when used. Far from cosmetic means the tricutter will need to be replaced.

Works brilliantly.
I was not sure if I was to invest or not. Ended up buying the bullet as my whole house being renovated. It comes with everything needed to do a neat job. Also I have breeze block and red brick. The channel chase is a really a useful tool. But if you want to use the box cutter red brick will takes a while. Better with SDS chisel bits. Also as a care point if you wall is thin, you may have to drill a pilot hole through the wall to the other side. So enough travel for the guide for the box cutter to work to depth you required.
