Buy it!
We have this huge area in the back of our garage where all the leaves get blown. They do create nice leaf mulch on their own. But we need to find a better way to contain them so that we can put several raised beds there. I hate the idea of compost Tumblrโs because it sounds like a wet and soggy mess but youโre gonna have to come back and interact with all the time. At one point I had a compost area built out of old pallets but eventually parts of it started to rot. I love the concept of this product and went ahead and purchased it because it sounds like something very simple, effective, and durable. The plastic is not going to rot out as far as I can see. It came in a small enough box. It was easy to carry to the back of the yard and wrangle myself. The only additional thing I think youโre going to need other than what comes in a packageโฆ Go ahead and take the time to get a few stakes and a mallet. I used a rubber mallet and 4 bamboo stakes that I already had. You could use more or less depending upon how sturdy you want it or if youโre trying to make a specific shape or something. After we got it about half full we pulled out the stakes because we needed them on our tomatoes and it seems to be sitting up just fine now. I like the general concept that you can attach several of these together. Itโs basically stacks the leaf blowing area that we had before and condenses the floor print profile of everything. So instead of using 10โ x 10โ just laying on the ground, they can compactly fit in a much smaller space even up against the fence or something. This keeps the dogs from running through it or defecating on it. I can see how if I had a leaf mulcher or if I ran over them with a mower it we can dance even more. We might try that in the fall. In the meantime I expect we will probably buy a second one of these this fall while the first then itโs still compacting. We purchased the gold or tope color, whatever they call it. I love that they offered that instead of just the standard black and green. It kind of blends in with our fence color. I would love to see all of my neighbors go to this method instead of bagging their leaves and throwing them out at the curb. But I think in order For it to become a more commonly purchase product, the price is going to have to drop. And honestly now that I see how it works and what itโs made ofโฆ I think itโs worth the money because thereโs not a comparable product out there competing but itโs also kinda high priced for how simple it is. The only grade that I have is my continued gripe with elitist home maintenance and gardeningโฆ We should be encouraging everyone to gardenโฆ But I keep seeing these expensive products out on the market insisting that people need to spend $200 for a worm bin or $100 for this other compost item. This is one of the lower price ones and even still I think it should be lower for what it is.

very cost effective
Seems very simple and effective although it will be some months before we know. The clips while simple enough and effective we opted to use some nylon webbing for our systems.

Easy to set up and use. Low effort with good results.
We got this product on the recommendation of our local master gardeners group. It was very easy to set up as there's not much to it. I like the open nature of it as it allows all of nature's little critters to get in there and speed up the process of decomposition. We've added literal dozens of gallons of organics to it and we're not even halfway full yet as it get's broken down quickly. This will likely slow down a bit with winter on its way, but still. We're not 100% strict on layering our browns and greens as we're supposed to and are getting results. I turn it once a month or so and it takes little time with a decent shovel. Just lift off the bin move it over next to your pile and shovel it back in. If you got serious about chopping everything up and layering it properly, it would break down even faster I bet. Only thing to be aware of is set it far from any building as the open nature of it will attract bugs, by design. Also, it can smell if you don't use enough brown material. Not terribly noticeable for ours, but probably would be a problem if we tossed in too much fresh fruit.

Easy to Use composter
I love how easy this bin was to set up, I love the adjustable size, and I love that its easy to move around the yard. I ordered the Geobin to compost leaves to make leaf mold. We thought about building a compost bin, but now I like that this composter is so mobile. My only complaint is the GeoBin comes with 5 Locking Keys, and you really need 6 keys if you don't make the bin its maximum size. (3 locking keys at each end of the long flat sheet that you shape into a circle) You can buy more Geobin locking keys but that increases the price of the Geobin. Geobin - Please start including 6 keys instead of 5, and I will buy more. For now I'm using a long twist tie.

PROS: Large capacity, easy to setup, composting does happen, walls are relatively supportive even if nearly full CONS: composting seems to take longer, vegetation will grow up the side of it (not that I minded it), the walls may lean over time. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: With this product you can continuously add materials and the bottom-most layers wonโt be disrupted. This version requires manual turning over of compost for best results. To access the beautiful soil youโve created you will likely need to disassemble the whole thing and scoop off the top 6+ inches as it will likely not be garden-ready. I choose a light tan-colored one but I think black would have stood out less and maybe heated up a little bit more. 4/5 stars!
