Heartbreakingly Sad
Sara Payne has done a wonderful job of telling the world about the turmoil their family faced at the loss of their beautiful daughter, Sarah. It is a devastating read and truly dreadful to have an insight into the effects that monster went on to have on this family; especially Sarahβs Dad.

Simply heartbreaking
I was a nine-year-old girl when this happened, but I remember it clearly. From reading this book, I now know that Sarah was born in the same year as me, so it's sad to think that she would be my age if she were alive today.I have read this book twice, most recently this year. Sara never fails to draw you in as she writes about the terrible events of that day, and even when you know what the outcome is, you are still hoping for a happy ending up until the moment Sarah's body is found. You can really feel Sara's pain and anguish, and also the pain of her family. I am just glad that Sara Payne has been able to channel her grief and anger into something so positive in the form of Sarah's Law. I would definitely have signed the petitions at the time had I been old enough.

The truth about paedophiles
When Sarah Payne went missing I joined a nation in prayer that she would be found safe and well. I remember the heart-breaking news footage when she was found and I remember saying a prayer for Mike and Sara and their young family. In the past year fate has thrown us together and I didn't want to read this book. It felt like intruding on a friends grief. But I am so glad that I have. The strength and courage of this family driven by their love of Sarah is humbling in the extreme. This book has given me a real insight into how impactful Sara's admission of the nature of her daughter's death has been. The fight for Sarah's law and the good that this family has achieved for every family in the UK in truly inestimable. The way Sara writes about her grief and the trauma of her family is quite simply one of the most profound experiences of my life. Please read this book if for no other reason than to understand how ordinary people achieve extraordinary things because of the worst experience of their entire existence.Thank you Sara for helping me to understand.

A Very Emotional Read!!
I read this book in a little under 8hrs, its was hard to read past the tears that I shed. It gives a detailed account into the family and what they went though. The poor brothers beating themselves up thinking that they were to blame was so upsetting. And to read that this man had no remorse and didn't even admit to the murder - I couldn't believe. And the statistics regarding sex offenders was shocking. The book goes throught the before and the after of the court case. How the family was feeling, the pain Sara went though and how she bottled it all up, how Mike and the children coped and the endless support from the police and the press. Its so hard to review this book you will just have to read it for yourselves - you wont be disappointed.
