Q: Is it energy efficient

i think so🤔since it's 800w/1200w, and using 800W 50cm away from my feet keeps my room heatup enough (but dry..)

We bought two. We use them in rooms that we go in to in the evening so as not to have to put our main heating back on. They have an almost immediate effect, usually getting the room nicely warm in a few minutes. They lack a thermostat but I knew that ahead of the purchase.

No thermostat on this. There may be a cut out for over temperature, I'm not sure. I don't see why you can't run it on a timer though. Should work fine.
