Absolutely fantastic! No, really!Harvey’s should be ashamed. I’ve spent 2 years trying to order these parts from them. Keep waiting for calls, being told that they’re not sure if they still produce ‘that model’, that they’ll trace the part and get back to me etc etc, only to have a brain wave and see if they can be bought on Amazon.Oh my, imagine my surprise and relief to find these.They’re not the cheap and nasty plastic that Harvey’s use, let’s face it, the amount of load that’s put on that tiny strip of plastic, it’s no wonder that in the six years I’ve had the sofas I’ve gone through 3 recliner handles. I fixed the first one by boring 2 small holes and threading them with stainless steel plate of which I cut and tied, finally swapping it for the another handle that wasn’t used on one of the sofas. Then my sons went, so swapped that out too. Finally, my handle started to split, literally only one or two uses left, when I realised I wasn’t going to get the help from Harvey’s and wondered where else to get some.I ordered these and omg, these really are the dogs bo****ks!!Firstly, they’re made from metal, yes, metal! Now why can’t Harvey’s do that from the get go, let’s face it, they’re not expensive!They’re a perfect standard fit, so why can’t Harvey’s supply?They’re so easy to fit, even for those doing for the first time. Just look at how it comes out and replace the same way you took it apart.Finally, these replacements aren’t just a piece of flimsy or badly cut metal, but substantial, well made and well finished handles. The whole mechanism feels as though it’s now going to last, not only that, but on pulling on the handle the whole thing under the sofa works so smoothly. These bad boys have had such a positive action overall.Why don’t Harvey’s want to serve us new handles? Tell us that they no longer do that model? Harvey’s have completely burnt their bridges with me. IT’S BECAUSE THEY WANT US TO BUY NEW SOFAS!!!I’ll never be going back to Harvey’s!!Why keep saying Harvey’s and give them advertising? Well, hopefully because of the many other miffed Harvey’s reviews here, it’ll put anyone off from ever buying from them again, so it’s negative advertising for Harvey’s from me.Their after sales service is DIRE, false and misleading as they’re still using the same handles in their newly made sofas!!Well done to these handles, they’ve given my sofas a new lease of life! So happy.

After some research after my handle broke on my sofa I found these. I compared with what was already fitted and these was far superior. My original handles were completely made of plastic. These are made from metal and some plastic. So these are definitely far better quality.Getting 2 for the price 1 was a great deal too.They are easy to fit by removing the 2 fitting screws on the original handle and screwing the new one in place once the cable has been fitted. Push the handle into place and replace the 2 screws which are in exactly the same place as the original handle.Job done. You now have fitted your new handle.So these are great value for money and easy to fit.

I recently snapped the handle off my sofa which is now over twenty years old and I thought that meant it was time to replace the whole suite. Thankfully I searched for a simpler solution and found these handles. I was able to work out that this was the one I needed from a few quick measurements and I ordered it. I was even happier when a box of two arrived as I now have a spare.Taking out the old handle was quite simple following a generic instructional video I found on YouTube. The whole thing took me less than ten minutes. I haven't checked to see if the handle matches the other end of the sofa as it's out of the way and no-one is going to notice if it's not a perfect match. They do send you two though so you can change both if you want to.

5 minute install - seems to be a standard size. The main lever is all metal and seems much stronger than the original (and much more comfortable/feels nicer) - very pleased

Great replacement for flimsy plastic handle on my chair which broke after about a year. Looking for ideas online and found that you can buy replacement handles, excellent! What was even more pleasing was that I got 2 handles in the delivery (not that I believe I'll need a spare), and that they are made of metal so I should never have the problem of it breaking again. Fairly easy to install, luckily the handle size seems to be standard, so fitted really well. Just remember to release the recliner so that there is no tension on the cable when replacing, something I didn't realise initially. Very pleased with product.

En principio, el que venía como original tenía una forma en los bordes rectangular, y este tiene forma más redonda, pero se ha acoplado perfectamente a la forma del hueco que ocupaba el original.Cumple perfectamente su cometido y no he tenido ningún problema en colocarlo en el sofá con reposapies extraíble.En cuanto a construcción, se le ve igual de robusto como el original que venía en el sofá.Me he quedado contento con la compra.

Perfecto para mi sofá, quitar viejo y poner nuevo. Muy sencillo incluso para los menos manitas. Solo recordad reclinar en sofá antes de desmontar.
