I can't believe I never had one of these before. After a long break, I returned to running about two years ago. I run regardless of weather and temperature. Going into my second winter, I started my practice of multiple layers. Problem is you overheat over the course of your run and despite all the clothes you are sucking in freezing air. This solves both problems. It helps keep your core warmer so you can wear less layers and you are pulling in warmer air. So much better!

I go for 5- to 7-mile trail runs several times per week early in the morning when it's still dark out. For at least half of the year it's still chilly at that time of day...often just above freezing in the winter (I'm in Northern California). This neck warmer provides the single layer I need around my neck so I can still get by with just a short sleeve and a long sleeve on top (no need for a jacket).Highly recommend this accessory; I purchased a second one as a backup.
