Bamboo Shower Mat for Bathroom - Large Plank Heavy Bamboo Mat, Sturdy and Non-Slip, 31.5''X17.7''

This just barely fit in our old, cheap standalone “Mustee” basement shower. I thought the floor was creaky and soft and I wanted something to distribute weight to avoid breaking the floor. The tight fit ensures it won’t budge, and it felt nice on my feet. We will see how it holds up, but so far it passed the most important test—sturdy! Mate is concerned there is room to tumble off the short edge but there would not be room for a second to eliminate that concern. It’s so lovely it seems a shame to have it in a basement.

The material look very natural and easy to clean, highly recommend.

Good looking product, good quality. I do have to get used the the height as I have twice stubbed my foot passing by this outside my shower door.

When I received the box, at first I thought there was some kind of mistake - it weighed enormously more than I expected. This thing has to be at least twice the weight as another bamboo bath mat I have that is the same size.The other mat is fine, but this thing's a beast - you could probably drive a truck over it. I can't imagine how it could possibly be more sturdy, and it's rock solid sitting on the floor.It looks great too, but I have to admit to being a little confused. The package says it's bamboo, and it looks like a light-colored wood - but I've never seen bamboo this dense and heavy, and it feel like an engineered plastic board to the touch, like Trex. If it actually is Trex and not bamboo, that would be a shock, since Trex is much more expensive than bamboo - so I'm not complaining! The enclosed sheet says it was heavily painted, so maybe it really is bamboo impregnated with some kind of protective compound. That would add to the weight too.This is slightly more expensive than other mats of similar size, but given the over-the-top quality, that would be money well spent. I also see that other reviewers have realized there's no need to limit its use to just your shower - it could be an entry mat, garage step, swimming pool drip pad, all kinds of things indoors and out, and I think it could take anything you might throw at it. Highly recommended!Whatever it's made of, this is amazing, and it'll still be around unchanged for my grandkids I expect.

I really did want to use in the master bath. After placing on the floor in front of the shower, this was so ‘Fashionable’ and provided the classy update I was looking for. But the master closet is just adjacent to the shower and there isn’t much space…pretty much the standard hallway.I was concerned about the tripping hazard when walking into the bathroom from the closet. There wasn’t enough room to step safely into the bathroom. I imagined stubbed toes and trips. My husband agreed. I did place it outside the shower so I could at least try it out once. We have a ceramic tile floor and there was absolutely no slipping. The texture on the shower mat is perfect for preventing any slips. I did like this shower mat, but I knew it was best to not use it for its intended purpose.Instead, I’ve placed this at the steps leading to the house in the garage. I do a lot of pottery work in the garage, so I’m constantly going in and out. I don’t wear my house shoes in the garage and I don’t wear my garage/pottery shoes in the house. This prevents me from dragging a lot of clay dust into the house. I placed this shower mat at the bottom of the steps leading to the house. This allows me to change my shoes out on the mat, which is super. So far this has worked well.I highly recommend this shower mat to anyone looking to update the look of your bath. Or if you would like to use as I have. Great quality!

I found this to be a bit tall for my bathroom. The door does not go over it. Also, water will drip to the floor. However the clean up is easy and it adds a nice look to the bathroom. This is bamboo so it isn't soft or absorbent. I'm just torn because it looks great, but it's not what I am used to.
