I tried this product, despite not having one of the advertised "compatible" doorbell models, in the hope that its flexibility would work for me. I was not disappointed and managed to install my "Ring Wired Doorbell" successfully.In the package you get a sturdy metal backplate, a plastic box attachment to hold the camera, an array of thick and thin foam pads, some screws with a hex tool and a thumb wheel screw to fasten it to your door/frame.Fitting the doorbell into the unit was easy, after placing it where I wanted in the box I just put an equal number of thick pads on each side, plus some at the top and bottom, and packed it in by using the thin pads to hold the doorbell really tightly. I also placed a thick pad at the back of the doorbell, to prevent it from being pushed backwards in the holder. When I then looked at the unit from the fron, I could see the side edges of the pads I had placed below the doorbell, so I removed these, put one pad flat to cover the hole, then replaced the packing pads side on. In this way I was able to get a respectable looking result that was still nice and tight fitting.The four provided screws then fasten the completed doorbell holder to the strong metal frame which is intended to slide onto the edge of your door and be held tight by the thumbscrew which is only accessible from inside the door. Unfortunately my uPVC door was not suitable for this, as it had a lip over the edge - but I managed to install it on the frame instead, which then worked perfectly for me, and also means the the doorbell does not move when the door is opened.My key recommendation before purchasing this product, is to ensure you have enough flat area on either your door or your door frame to be able to fit it.As it works well, has a very strong feel to it, and is very flexible in accepting multiple different sizes of doorbell, for me this is a five star product.

Looks and feels the part - Metal Armoured Robust Anti-Theft Design also protects my Ring Bell from the elements, easily installed onto my high 6-foot gate, packing foam supplied to hold bell sturdy in the armour and to also pack out fence depth to secure screw fastening. Very secure and looks very good. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant idea for my Ring doorbell. It means I no longer have to drill and I could safely place my Ring doorbell and adjust it easily.made to keep my doorbell safe from thieves too.Installation is straightforward and the case is very sturdy.

Great alternative if you rent or just don't want to make holes

This is made out of a sturdy metal frame and which the container itself isn't adjustible, there's plenty of foam strips it comes with so you can create a seal and fit in your desired camera. It's a no-drill solution so all you need is to connect the mount around the side of your door and tighten it via the screw.Unfortunately, this doesn't work on any of our doors, as applying this mount means our doors can no longer shut properly. We recently had new, hard plastic doors fitted which have much smaller gaps and foam gasket seals, so unfortunately we were unable to use this.You should definitely check your doors and see if you can wedge a 1.5mm-ish thick object through the gap and see if it still closes correctly. If it does then this product might be great for you.

We chose this having just ordered a Ring 2 video door bell from Amazon. On the Amazon order page there was the suggestion of a 'door mount', I panicked and thought we needed one just as this became available on Vine. In fact we did not need one because the Ring comes with it's own mounting attachment.1 You do not need this if you want to attach your 'Ring' or other video door bell in the centre of your front door.2 This mount is suitable if you want to fit your bell on the side of the door - the bracket wraps around the edge of the door.It is well made, good quality and an attractive looking item in so far as something like this can be and we will use it for our back gate but. You don't need this if you are fitting your bell in the centre of the door.
