Quality Gel-X nails at a great price. Recommended!
I bought these to create coffin shaped nails in a length that suits me. Coffin short is too short, not enough landscape for good nail art. , Coffin medium is just a bit too long for me. You can't really trim the coffin shape or it won't be a coffin shape anymore. I also purchased these in the almond mediums for the same reason. With the almond, I wound up with something like ballerina, which is fine but I wanted to see if I could get coffin or pretty close to it in a length I like without having to completely reshape each nail. Shaping these is very time consuming so you want to choose a shape and length that works for you pretty much as-is. When I snip off just the tip, these stiletto nails are as close to coffin as I can create without having to do a lot of work. I used an artificial nail cutter with a dial on it--$10 on Amazon and definitely the most accurate way to get all 10 the same length. I applied these nails and then set the dial on the trimmer at 5--the higher numbers on the dial will leave the nail longer. I believe the highest number is 7. The lower the number the more it will cut off. #5 takes off about 4 or 5 mm-- so the whole pointed portion, leaving just the tapered square end. I'm very happy with the results.I am new to doing full sets at home. I was misled to believe that I need to spend more than double on the Apres nails. I don't. These Beetles nails have been great so far at about 33 to 50% of the price. They wear well. I haven't experienced cracking. They're shaped and sized perfectly. I can find a size to fit each of my fingers with little to no filing down the sides. These are Beetles' reasonably new "etch x" tips that come pre-etched in the portion that covers your nail plate, saving a step in the application process. I am using Apres Extend Gel to apply these nails and I'm really happy with it. I haven't tried other brands yet, but the Apres gel seems to combine strong with gentle, so these suckers hold on really well but, unlike the glue that many brands offer, the Apres gel is gentle on my natural nail underneath so I can still grow my own nails and do a basic gel mani once in a while. One of the things I'm learning is that even when I didn't do a great job of getting the nails on right, they still last a long time without popping off using the method I'm using. I took off my first set after a week and figured out that even though there was some lifting, they very likely were not going anywhere for at least another week, maybe two. Air bubbles underneath is the biggest challenge to overcome, along with placing the back edge of the nail just close enough to your cuticle without getting too close. I either get no air bubbles but the back edge is too close, or a good placement with regard to my cuticle but in trying to be precise I let in air. Still, I'm getting a great looking full set. This mani would have cost about $125 at the salon. I've invested a few hundred dollars in equipment, supplies, and polish/art, but I have already more than paid for it in what I'm not spending on nail techs. I've watch a lot of how-to videos and I strongly suggest that if you're planning to start doing your own Gel-x nails at home.Overall good quality product at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

LOVE this stuff.
I LOVE this stuff! It makes me nails last for so so long which was something that I used to really struggle with. It’s also very easy to use and doesn’t take long to cure at all. Great size bottle too, it’s lasted me for a while now. It’s plain clear color too so you can’t see it underneath ur nail tips.

Great tips all around!
I have been doing my nails for about two years now. These tips are my favorite affordable option!! I normally do two weeks per set but they can last me easily a month of which I was forced to test lol.A lot of people mention them being longer than expected however I don’t think people are taking into consideration how long their own natural nail bed is. This of course would affect how long the nail appears to you. I find them to be just fine for my nail bed length and they are also easy to file down if needed.HOWEVER, if you’re just starting out on the nail journey I actually recommend a longer length than you want because it’ll help give you leverage while you learn how to hold the nail for application. Doing nails on your own is definitely a learning curve but stick to it and you’ll get it!!I really like the pre-etch on these tips and have absolutely noticed a difference on how secure they feel. These puppies aren’t going ANYWHERE and it saves me time on having to etch them myself. So yes, highly recommend these tips! Oh and the polish I’m wearing is from RARJSM in color 482 called Rose Pink :)

Perfect
Size is slightly longer then shown. But works perfect! Holds strong with their glue as well! Love it! So much cheaper and faster then going to a salon!

NON Pro here but the method is everything !!
This stuff works as in works almost too well so here’s some tips from my trial and error so you can avoid the error.1. I used a very thin coat , BE SPARING, but just a thin covering coat on real nail2. Paint the glue underneath fake nail THINLY on the part that will be touching your real nail and then as if you are cleaning off the nail brush, scrape the excess glue on brush by the cuticle area of fake nail. It will look just like if you had too much polish on a brush and you scraped it on side of polish bottle . Not so much that it oozes out everywhere but a small dollop enough to coat your nail when you press the fake nail onto your nail bed. Your goal is enough that when you press down on fake nail that the glue spreads evenly between your real nail and fake nail without spilling all over the sides of nails. If you have a little bit that comes out, just wipe off with a nail brush or whatever you have that will work2. It’s a pain to try to hold onto the fake nail that keeps popping up from your real nail before curing, but you need to position the nail straight SOOO what worked for me was curing the nail for 3-5 seconds (start at 3 seconds) WHILE I am holding the fake nail in place so the fake nail can still be moved a little but is now tacky enough to grip your real nail and won’t fall off or pop up from your real nail . Once you have it in position perfectly, press down and put nail in light for about 20-30 seconds … IT IS NOT MOVING NOW SO I HOPE YOU GOT IT STRAIGHT…. Not moving as in day 15 for me and I’m wondering if I may need to use my little nail dremel file tool to get them off. I used to nail glue that will pop in 2-7 days so this was definitely different.3. IMPORTANT and almost a MUST… buy a mini light on Amazon to cure the glue. It is ALMOST impossible to use a standard UV curing light that you put your hand in because the glued nail has to be held in place before using the curing light and a mini just makes it so much easier and less messy and less error . You can’t hold the nail in place with one hand and use a standard cure light at the same time without messes or crooked nails . My light was $6 on amazon so don’t think more expensive is better4. LISTEN LINDA… do not get the glue all applied and ready to be cured and then put your finger directly under the UV light almost touching it while keeping finger completely still. IT WILL HURT I PROMISE as in like 👹 is resurrecting from your nail bed because even he can’t take the heat and pain. Instead place finger about 1-2 inches from your mini light and wave finger back and forth a little . It will feel warm and uncomfortable the first few seconds but NOTHING like sticking right under the lamp and leaving it there. That was about 7-10 seconds of unsolicited torture I went through , so don’t be me, be better and wave wave wave the hand queen!! After you get the initial waving back and forth done the rest of the time should be comfortable enough to keep your nails stationary until completely cured.5. If you have cured glue for more than 30 sec and your fake nail is moving around or feels gummy underneath the fake nail…either fake nails aren’t clear, too much glue used, or not enough curing time probably because the glue doesn’t take as long to cure as regular gel polish does . Also in case this doesn’t go without saying, you MUST MUST MUST be using clear press on nails or tips or the light will not be able to penetrate an opaque nail and then it will not cure. With my little clamp on mini light glue was hard as a rock in less than 15 sec but to be somewhat cognizant of the directions I cured for a complete 30 seconds . A little longer or a little less for you is possible as it will depend on your light.Hope this helps gorgeous people!! 🫶🏼
