Awesome for amateur woodworker
This is the best t I have found so far. It’s lightweight, compact, and fits my carpenters pencils. This tool is perfect for straight edges and marking up for projects.

Feels like quality, but not very useful in practice.
If feels like it's precision crafted and made out of quality parts, but the pencil holder is a bit finicky to adjust and only fits the scribe that comes with it. It also doesn't come with replacement graphite and it looks like an awkward size to find later. I also wish the markings were finer and went down to 1/32s. Overall, it's good value for money but there are a ton of little easy improvements that the company could make so it's more useful so right now it's not for me.

Won't be perfect for everyone but very handy for most of my needs
Let me start of with why this may not be for everyone. It is an adjustable angle T-square which is going to limit the trueness of a "machining quality" tool that high-end workers may expect out of Woodpeckers and such but this also isn't a $100+ square. For users looking for marking non standard increment angles this isn't as flexible as it has spring bearing limit locks to help you click it into place when fully extended. As with any sub-100 "laser etched" edge there is a good chance that with fine tuned measuring gear I will likely find some "off" measurements in the fractions and decimals. Now with the why it may not be the bees knees for the high end craftworker is also part of why this is a great option for many users such as myself. I do allot of home build work just for fun and having the "lock in" angles helps me quickly adjust left and right as need be. The ruler is both metric and standard and frequently tools like this try to sell you one of each. The ruler is actually 13 inches as we all frequently find ourselves wanting to mark out things right at 1 foot so this allows you to do so. It also came with a mechanical pencil that fits in the scribe nut and you cannot use a standard mechanical or wooden pencil but luckily I had recently picked up a cheap set of multi colored mechanical carpenter pencils on Amazon that fit this exactly and the extra leads fit this pencil as well which is nice as the pencil came with no extra leads (just do a search for "mechanical carpenter pencil set" and you will see various options that look just like this one). While the use of the ruler is easy enough it would have been nice for there to be at least some sort of documentation for people just in case as well as some sort of reference to what size lead refills you may need to purchase in the future. For me I wanted this for it's main design but also for use with my laser engraver for aligning/squaring objects for cutting/engraving so this is a winner for for me

Finally, a decent marking ruler.
I have a couple similar products. All of them either have a siding cross bar and a notch or hole for a pencil or scribe, or they have a fixed crossbar and spaced holes for a pencil or scribe to fit into. The problem with all of these is that you need one hand to move the ruler and one to hold the marking device in the groove or hole. That is great if you are working on a table in your shop and have the ability to clamp down the wood being marked. I am often trying to run a marking ruler down the side of a piece of wood while holding a pencil in the hole, and holding the wood with my third hand. I usually drop something or the line gets all wonky as the ruler isn't held against the edge of the board very well. This ruler changes that. The crossbar locks into a series of angles at the end of the ruler. That is nice, you know you're at 90º when it click in and you lock it down. Then you adjust the pen/scribe holder to the required distance from the edge. There are measurements on both sides (SAE and Metric) and the holder that slides up and down the ruler points to the measurement where the line will be.When you insert the included mechanical pencil it fits in the cup that holds it and doesn't move. I was able to hold a piece of plywood (about 20" x 30") in one hand and run the ruler along one side as the pencil left a nice straight line. I didn't have to hold the pencil with one hand, the ruler with the other, and keep the plywood from moving with what, my third arm, my foot, a really big rock?Great tool, it is now my go-to for marking lines parallel to the edges of the pieces of wood I'm working on.
